The University has been completely and totally embarrassed!

Check out this stat I just saw on Twitter……it’s worse than I thought.

In case anyone wasn’t sure……the answer is ZERO!!!

Dana has literally beat no one with a pulse….and we are 0-16 against the teams with a pulse.

Not one stinking win.

We are ready to bail because that 2 conference losses is going to turn into 8 or 9 by the end of November…he has been here 5 years and we are worse now than when he got here…We cannot AFFORD to keep a dead bang loser another year so we can fall farther behind…

I see the 14.8M number there….but I believe after this season it goes down to less than half correct? And can be paid in yearly installments?

Is this correct Sampson?

I figured you would know….they could use 1/2 of Pez salary since he is responsible for this cluster.

Someone posted here it’s about 10 million end of next season

So, another year of this? May as well not bother recruiting as the kids will know he has one left.

borncoog74 had the numbers in another thread somewhere but at the end of this season we’ll owe him the $14.8M.

$14.5M in salary (see below) and I believe the rest is non salary comp. The buyout is only reduced by the amount we have already paid him. So waiting is pointless unless having a lame duck coach makes sense to anyone. We can pay the buyout monthly like he gets paid now.

2024 $4.4
2025 $4.5
2026 $4.6 x 60% = $2.8
2027 $4.7 x 60% = $2.8

Giena,

Thank you for staying with us. Before I chime in please tell both of your sons we are with them.
I mentioned it to you before. As a player and coach I was in CDH corner until his latest comments throwing his players under the bus. What he does in his own time is none of our business unless something happens. Nothing has happened. The one saying it should contact our admin not coogfans. I do not believe in any of the innuendos.
A leader of men or women is someone that takes accountability. I do not see it any longer from CDH.
I mentioned two stats on the recruiting data and portal data vs our rivals. This is a huge concern for me. That is his job to recruit, U of H is bigger than any coach and surely bigger than CDH. We can do better and should aim for better.

So at the end of this year or the end of next year there is basically no difference……no monetary incentive to wait another year correct?

The big money break was from after this past season to this season….thanks for description Taco.

Nothing against the 7 kids that have committed but this would probably be the smallest loss of all time in terms of losing recruits when a coach was fired.

Thank you!
I understand it’s got to be frustrating. It was hard as a player parent to see
the team struggle for various reasons. CDH was very good to Derek and very supportive even after his injury and surgery. I get what you’re saying. I believe accountability should be on both parties, not just one. Coaches have responsibilities just as players do.We will always be Coog fans no matter what, even if it’s hard to be so at times.

Right. We owe him what we owe him. Buyout is only going down by the amount we deposit in his account each month. I really wonder if the “impossible f—kin buyout” comment was more about the fact he would get paid no matter what. As in we wouldn’t pay him to do nothing. I used to think he meant UH couldn’t afford it.

Awesome. We all want what is best for our program. CDH has done nothing so far to make us feel like we are on the right track. That is what is so frustrating. I was not expecting an undefeated season but at least have at .500.

There’s still hope to turn this season around. Players won’t give up. They’ll keep fighting.

I am sure they will Giena. Players follow their Coach. We want the HC to lead. We have not seen that yet.

I was one of those drunks at the end of the Tulsa game last season.

I love your perspective as a parent….my son played D-1 baseball and there is a lot behind the scenes the average fan does not see.

What is your take on what he did in the fourth quarter?
IMO it was obvious that he gave up….they stopped trying to score and just ran the ball to run clock once they got down by 21.

As a player I would be livid….down 21 and my coach is not even letting us try to get back in the game?
I’d rather make mistakes and lose by 40 knowing I went down fighting then slinking away with my tail between my legs.
