Texas vs. Georgia - Any Troll Stories from Last Night - Water bottle Fiasco (ICYMI)

Nope, the call was good.

IIRC, I think beer was also thrown on the field.

I don’t know. Both players were holding each other so even if it’s a no call it goes to Texas.
Regardless Georgia won by 2 touchdowns with virtually every call going against them.
But I have never seen another pass interference call reversed.
Thank goodness Georgia was the dominate team.
The Aggies are 4-0 in conference play and don’t play Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee or Ole Miss!
And they get Whorn at home.

Inexplicable decision making on behalf of the officials. ‘After discussion,’? WTF is that?

Exactly, way too arbitrary. It was 1000% defensive pass interference and i really do think the announcers swayed the decision and wanted Texas to win

I felt that way during the moment, but it was such a sweet pick i wanted to let it slide. But going back and watching it, he jammed the living daylights out of him

The rules analyst said it wasn’t PI …

I understand, but the rules analyst was playing coy to the announcer’s emotions to the play imo

Definitely pass interference. WR wasnt even engaged or fighting for space. He stopped him, held him, and pushed him off to cut the ball.

Crazy they reversed

OMG Coogfans. Never change. You guys hate Texas so much you can’t think logically. Now it was pass interference (you are the only ones claiming this) and the announcers used mental telepathy to influence the officials on the field. :joy::joy::joy:

Yea, that’s what I was told by an insider, something Texas been working on for the longest I heard, in one of their science labs, seems to be working.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Why is there no targeting by running backs? They add lets lower their helmet snd try to brain the smaller secondary guys to get more yards. It happens both ways. Just a physicallly punishing the D players.

If that was PI, the rules should just say you aren’t allowed to touch each other. Super soft like a Letterkenny birthday party.

We can have a discussion on whether the play was PI or not. That is a fair discussion. What makes no sense is the call’s reversal. PI is unreviewable; its a judgement call by the referee. The PI call was made, then the referees huddled. Horn fan littered the field and the call was reversed. Very bad look for the referees.

UT was fined $250K for its fans’ behavior. Is this now the template fans follow with controversial calls? I hope we never see this type of fan behavior again.

UT is on the hot seat and not getting its way like it did in the Big 12. It’s a new life for them that they do not like.

Well idk if the review booth has audio or not?
But i know a lot about playing as a cornerback. Only ran a 4.9 and rode the bench, but i know what i was taught by former University of Missouri cornerback’s coach

He said you gotta plant your feet and let the receiver run into your chest and stick your facemask on their facemask and your hand stays on their hip pads. Never jam 15 yards deep. But now the convo is extremely nuanced

Looks like the SEC has autonomy disciplinary actions on UT and there is not a damn thing UT can do about it.

Also it seems that the SEC knows how UT treated the Big 12 and was not going to let that happen in their conference.

It didn’t go to the review booth. The students threw water bottles on the field, which caused a 2-3 minute delay. During the delay, the officials watched the replays on the Jumbotron. Then they got together and decided to correctly change the call. It’s not rocket science.

No worries, i was being a tad hyperbolic with the announcer thing. But they do have ear pieces for booth reviews. Someone is talking to the head official. But ill die in the hill that the corner shouldve been flagged
