If it wasn’t for Tune providing stability at QB over the past few seasons this program would be in a very bad state…
Tune is an all-time great Coog… Sucks that he had this career while the program is mired in apathy.

Always love reading Chris’ articles. And much admiration for Clayton.
Sometimes you get so used to having nfl talent like Kolb, Keenum, and even hyper athletes like Ward jr that when you have a good college QB like Tune, he just seems mehhh and you take him for granted. Is he those guys? No. But he’s definitely not the problem.
Clayton is having a great year. However he’s not exactly playing against the same level defensive guys as those other Dudes you listed.
That’s a good assessment. Most QBs playing today aren’t as talented as Tune.
That being said, I’ll take a less talented winner (like Ward Jr.) every time.
This is not an option at the moment. Tune is clearly the best we have.
Clayton has played great. He knows where to improve. Baring injuries I have no doubts that he will be drafted.
Link to a public statement from Kelvin?
And here you are being a hollerin’ hit dog forming a straw man because you can’t debate what I said.
Wait this is the same thread that wished everyone a great day in?!? Lol you’re a liar too lol.
I posted it in this thread
Its not a public statement, it’s hearsay from one of our posters. It’s specific to basketball and students and you are using it to say the admin does not care about the fans at all.
Sir, we’re all free to believe what we want. If you believe the administration is doing a great job then that’s fine.
I don’t but that’s not what you’re claiming with that quote. You are saying they don’t care about the fan experience at all based on our poster’s talking to Sampson about students at basketball games. Its a big leap
Good post. The hate was really bad last year. I was at the point early last season where I wouldn’t have minded a QB change but I would defend Tune from the idiots who called him the “worst QB in FBS” or the “worst UH QB ever”. Even this year we had some of those guys come back with some ridiculous exaggerations in negative Tune posts. I don’t understand the hate some of our “fans” have for him. I think we are going to miss him a lot next year.
No I’m saying that based on my experience as an alum. Strakerak’s post was something I used to support my opinion. When I say believe what you want I’m not being contentious at all. I’m just tired and the longer this season goes on the more I empathize with alums that have checked out.
I support the school as much as most of the posters here. When I voice “my” frustrations I’m really voicing the frustrations of everyone that I’ve ever brought to tdecu, whether they’re an alum or not. It is SO EASY for me to get folks that I know to attend games. It is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for me to get them back again. They ALL complain about the game day experience.
Folks that try to relay these messages are hit with non stop gaslighting and straw men. We aren’t complaining just to complain. We are actively trying to bring folks to these games to support the coogs.
But again, I’m tired of the back and forth. Discussions about my alma mater should elicit positive emotions. Part of me wants to take break from all of this while the other part feels like the players deserve the support.
Edit: I’ve derailed this thread enough. Tune is certainly one of the main folks that deserves more support.
Well stated, I understand, we have plenty to be frustrated about.
Compare basketball’s social media presence to football. Basketball is killing it because it’s in-house. That family works hard on every little detail.
Our highlights for the Temple football game were just sliced together snippets from ESPN+. No music or anything. Does anyone care?
As a QB, #3 is a solid, average to above average QB. He’s not a top 5 UH QB and possibly not top 10. No knock on him because we’ve had several great ones.
As a representative of UH, he may be a great, but we’ve had lots of them too
I’m not on facebook or tic tok so i guess I’m missing the content. This is only highlights i found from the first game, its bare minimum
That’s not from UH. I’m talking about in-house stuff.
On Instagram today, hoops has over a dozen posts + videos up in last 24 hours. Football has one static picture.
On game day, Lauren links posts from fans when they tag the team with a hashtag. It’s engagement and it works. The latest tweet just announced tonight’s game is sold out. No more SRO or single tickets left to sell.
