Baldwin always nails it. I was really impressed with Tune’s pocket presence yesterday. Shame our fans give up on the team that has a winning record
70% its not because of Tune. It’s because of the coaches, the excuses, the style, how we started the season, the administration apathy, the giving and taking of better concessions last year, the lack of a roof.
I mean can we say one good thing about the program and its status right now. They’re literally going to get 2k of us to show up. The students don’t care.
If you’re holding out for B12 to change stuff don’t hold your breath.
Its too hot its too cold, its the coaches, its the Pezman, its the admin. This guy in the mirror can point to lots of things but himself
Kelvin fu**ing Sampson is apparently publicly saying the administration doesn’t give a damn about supporting his program and yet you, and folks like you, are more upset at fans venting their frustrations than you are with our “leadership”.
Yes complaining about a roof is completely legitimate venting, carry on
It’s partially a good story, and Tune has been playing better over the last several weeks, but the “he deserves more” stuff doesn’t really resonate. Tune has played a part in the losses, just like he helped us to wins, and he doesn’t deserve any more or less than the rest of the team.
As for the attendance thing, what’s the point of writing an article whining about it? You’re not gonna shame people into showing up, and it’s irritating for those of us who do show to have to continually read about it.
Baldwin could have written a great article about how Tune has stuck with it and had some great performances down the stretch. Instead, he diluted the good stuff with crying about attendance, and the end result is kind of lame.
Huh? Of course that nonsensical response is the best you can muster
I replied to this “administration apathy, the giving and thanking of better concessions last year, the lack of a roof.” So how am i off base
Clayton Tune is the most polarizing player ever at UH. That’s 4 sure. You either like him or hate him. I’ve never seen a player be ridiculed as much as him on social media.
Dana puts too much on Tune’s shoulders presnap. Last year Dana was more involved in calling the offense & the personnel groupings using multiple TEs etc. This year it’s been mainly vanilla with Dawson & having Tune diagnose coverages etc presnap from what I see.
I blame Dana!!!
Just don’t question his heart, he has proven that is heart is huge this year.
Anyone who plays football is tough and has heart.
You already responded to his post. Then you responded to my comment about venting. You and I are the only ppl in this thread that used “venting”, but go ahead and pretend you weren’t replying to me. You couldn’t even address the meat of my post. You have more smoke for fans expressing their displeasure then what CKS said.
Do you have a link to the Sampson statement?
I’m protesting Belk. Call me a bad Coog. I’ve been around a long time. I think going to watch Belk’s scheme is contributing to the delinquency of the program.
I admit that I’m no longer a great supporter and I have deep admiration for those of you that continue to devote your time to the program. Without you and Case and Tilman we wouldn’t have beautiful stadiums and great facilities. But I don’t have it in me to go and suppress my frustration.
This season alone, #3 has shown great growth, IMHO, and has become one of my favorite players in UH Football history. Sure, he’s had some rough games, but who hasn’t? Among the things that has impressed me is that, no matter how bad things get, he never seems to give up. I hope he gets a chance to play in the NFL.
I was not pro-Tune the first two years. But he changed my mind.
Too bad the coaches did not use his talents to the max. He really turned into the best player on the team the last two years.
Won’t hear me complaining. Good to see the OC finally embrace his talents. Now about the rest of the staff.
