Saban
Furthermore Brian Kelly is 62, Jim Harbaugh 59
So there’s this guy named Nick Saban…
Just hire the right person, I’ll be happy.
Too old. Barely beat Auburn. No Texas ties.
You can’t coach college sports if you are that old.
Signed,
Bill Snyder, Age 79 when he retired
Kelvin Sampson, Age 68 and still coaching
You’re buying into Dana propaganda.
If he stays 10 years that’s longer than our last 3 coaches combined
If he stays 10 years expect the B12 to kick us out.
I don’t think you understand.
I don’t buy into the idea you have to re-recruit your whole team. It’s the premise I don’t agree with. Not the outcome. And I don’t think things have really changed for the worse. I think the same schools are buying players that were buying the same portion 50 years ago.
You can hire a young hotshot. But the environment is the same, generally speaking.
Yea I agree like I said there are winners and losers with the new rules. Dana was definitely a loser with the new rules. If you have to go player by player after the season ends and ask them to stay committed to the program before you go out and recruit others then something is definitely wrong. Coaches like Dana were playing defense while coaches like Deion are playing offense. I hope our new coach has guys lining up to come here not lining up to get out.

Repost from Dana gone reaction videos thread.
If I were doing the search, I would definitely include Mike Bloomgren, Rice HC, in the process. He’s young and ambitious and has done a great job with that program. He’s one of those who’s done more with less and has a lot of energy and upside. He may not be the final pick, but we could do a lot worse.
^ lol
LOL … he beat Holgerson and Hermann this year and is going to his 2nd consecutive bowl game.
Congrats to him
