The dude has a 22-45 head coaching record and the most wins he’s ever had at Rice is 6, this year. That’s someone you would consider worthy of an interview?
Okay, let’s use your logic based solely on W-L record. If you take the HC from Texas or Alabama or Georgia and give him the Rice HC job, what would you say his record would have been last year? Would he be 11-1 or 12-0 or even 8-4? I don’t think so because of the limitations inherent in the Rice program. Yet you wouldn’t hesitate to have any one of them as UH HC would you? I bet you would even love to have that coach Prime fella as UH coach and what was his record this year?
Not sure about an interview but 6 wins at Rice is not easy.
My point is there are better candidates across the board w actually good resumes. Y’all email Tilman and let him know
