Transfer portal news 3.0

I have no inclination to get into one of your silly 100 count threads trying to prove yourself. I am confident in why we were interested in Carlton and has zero to do with my feelings about Dandridge as a player.

Another UCF commit today.

They lost (5) players to the portal:

*Pj Edwards
*Tyem Freeman
*Brandon Suggs
*Lahat Thioune
*Jayhlon Young

Taylor Hendricks declared for the NBA. Darius Johnson and Ithiel Horton are set to return

looking forward to some news this weekend, maybe hopefully…

Dandridge couldn’t EVER avg 4 boards or 15 minutes a game in ANY season at Memphis.

Just cuz you’re big doesn’t equate to being GOOD. A HAAAAARD pass. Glad CKS won’t even contemplate Dandridge. He’s a player CKS wants to play AGAINST, not coach.

4-star??? Perfect example of how stars ain’t SHIFT. Sasser was about 330-400 and he’s about be drafted…a year after he would HAVE been drafted.

What are you even talking about?

I said the kid had the potential to be very physical after an offseason with bishop!

I mentioned nothing about size, stars, minutes or points.

Wtf?

Potential???

What I said about Dandridge wasn’t directed AT you. I just responded cuz you mentioned a desire for him to play in the Fertitta Center as a Coog.

But now, I’ll direct this to you.

Potential!!! Dandridge has played FOUR seasons as the biggest guy on the court in college. He has never avg’d more than 3.6 boards a game in ANY of those four seasons. NEVER…

Kelvin Edwards played one year with us and avg’d 5.9 boards.
Jarreau avg’d 4.3 boards in his college career as a PG.
Sasser(2.6-2.8) and Shead(3.0) BOTH avg’d WITHIN ONE board every game compared to the biggest guy on the court any time Memphis laced it up for the past FOUR years.

After four years of game tape, you can miss me with potential. Malcolm has had plenty of opportunity to showcase his talent…and he sucks. He played for NBA star legend Penny, HOF Larry Brown, maybe Mike Miller, and any other former NBA players on the staff. He’s just big. He’ll get you one dunk a night and 3-4 fouls in those 11-13 minutes, while his +/- is negative. He’s sorry. Oh…and he can’t shoot FTs either.

Again…HAAAAARD pass. Glad CKS AIN’T interested in a waste of body mass. #JusCuzHeBig

Terrible take, memphis kept recruiting over him…
duren, precious, wiseman, cisse, lawson … memphis brought in a 5star center almost every year
being relagated to the bench at memphis isnt a sign of being bad, legtimately almost every transfer out of memphis became a star at their new schools

not being a star on a stack team isnt a sign you are bad…
and stars are probability not hard lines… we all know a 3star who is elite and a 5star who flopped…but 3/4th of every 5star are a success in college and 1/4 in the NBA (almost all with get atleast an nba shot atleast as a free agent)…1/2 4stars are major impact college players… sasser will be a drafted 3star, maybe 1 of 3 of the 40000 3stars

top 30 4star …semi ojeyele was insane deep bench at duke, was like the 11th man his 1st 2 years at duke. instantly became the best player in the aac when he transfered to smu…

Oh lawd. I hate I even read this… LOL!!!

Side note… Josh Carlton avg’d more boards a game as a true frosh than Dandridge EVER did. His soph/Jr. seasons, he avg’d about 7.8-9 ppg, and over 6 boards a game in UNDER 23 min/gm. His last year at UConn he came off the bench…and in 11 min/gm, he STILL avg’d more boards each night than Dandridge EVER did.

You struggle with it! Or you are drunk already. Or both.

not true… again memphis brought in a new 5star almost every year he was there at memphis… you are ducking him for not being better than a 5star… which is a wild take… you can be good and not be better than a 5star

becuase he got pt becuase uconn was terrible… they benched him when they got talent … he was the 3rd string

these are terrible take without any regard for context

Everyone fighting for bigs? In a day and age when it’s a MAKE or MISS game? And being able to stretch the floor? The game has changed…

I stopped reading after you said Wiseman. James played in THREE games. So what was Dandridge’s excuse the remaining 30 games THAT year? Try again.

I’m done commenting on a big that IS big, and sorry at the collegiate level. And AIN’T coming to UH.

yes… bigs go for a premium in the portal… this isnt the NBA. 4 of the 5 all-americans were centers
this isnt even a debate topic for anyone who followed the portal…

its a supply and demand issue… not a style issue… there isnt a supply and demand issue in the NBA

there are elite guards in the mid major, you can find useable guards anywhere, even in the juco…but outside the high major there are almost no bigs, 6’7 wings are the traditional centers of mid majors… and even among those with size, many are clutzy and dont produce (centers are slower picking up things)… every center in the portal had their interest inflated like crazy …

its obvious if you follow the portal… there were terrible centers with high interest…

its not as bad this year (but its early), but look at Kadin Shedrick (who picked texas) he honestly isnt that good to have been getting the interest he was getting… he had duke and unc battling overhim

No need to flag.
