and preicous was a 5star who also played that year for them at the 5… im condused…is your point that dandrige isnt good because he didnt get PT over the AAC Player of the YEAR???

Josh Carleton got 11.2 rebounds per 40 minutes in his college career (11.5 with us).

Malcolm Dandridge has gotten 9.3 (9.9 last year)

interpret that how you may, doesn’t seem to be a large gap to me

Okay. So what about this year?

Per 100 possessions is what I use more. Adjusts for pace. Gap widens.

we need to bring in a big man.

quick - someone argue that statement.

How big you want?

techncially he was also recruited over this year, but he actually beat out who was recruited over him…

kao who was seen an NBA prospect before the season…
but he had a ankle injury he was dealing with most of the season…

dandrige was announced to be the starter inthe preseason… but eventual moved on to older lawson (who is also a touted recruit) after the injury was taking longer to clear

im buying into the 6’-8 to 6’-10 super athlete type more and more actually.

a stretch 4 if you will - with a 3pt shot.

I honestly havnt been following the names or who is even available that close but another Jarace Walker type would be optimal if there was someone similar out there lol

The year before we brought in Carlton. He did 20 rebounds per 100 possessions. Dandridge did 14. So, we’re talking a 45% production increase for Carlton over Dandridge.

Writing more doesn’t equate to QUALITY.

I don’t need to throw a single stat at you because I have seen Dandridge play. He was moderately better last season, and when I say that he was better than a zero. He is a big guy with skills to produce but doesn’t produce.

Lmao. Some of the stuff you type.

I’m glad Dandridge could beat out a UTA guy in his 4th year. And still only play 14 minutes per game. And give a piss poor effort for 7 of those minutes.

Im with you. I think we have couple #5 already on Team that can become good Rebounders given the mins on floor.

never said they were identical players… dandtrige does have a high offensive rebounding rate but what make his sapecial is ability to move for his size…he can take players off the dribble for 260lbs guy… he can do things carlton cant do, carlton is bigger and could do things dandrige couldnt do

so you are going to pretend that kao wasnt insanely hyped coming in???

You see Jibba Jabba rollin. You hating”

rebound, paint points and make free throws for our #5’s.

but I firmly believe we need to bring in another big man in order to complete the team for next season, be it a stretch 4 or another 5. we’re short (numbers) in that department.

Sorry. I don’t mindlessly follow a hype train for a guy that averaged less than 4 points and 4 rebounds a game in the WAC or whatever conference UTA is in.
