you missed my point, chaney started on the final 4 team, but was recruited over…carlton …on chaneys senior (4th year)
I think what I wrote is confusing and my points have been missed. Chaney was a great role player here and if we bring someone in to start over Roberts then fine. Had Chaney not had the injury he may have started. Anyways it all worked out
I want the best possible scenario this team to win.

Mr. Butch, you’re the only one pumping up TA as a starting frontcourt player. He’ll come off the bench unless something unforeseen happens. (Doesn’t mean he won’t play 4 in some small-ball lineups)

Sampson had the perfect scenario to start TA when Mark left. Start him in his place But Sampson brought in Dunn. Compete for a job!

Regardless this may turn out to be the best bench we have had here in awhile.
I thought from the get go Jarace would be super difficult to replace.
But until we bring someone in TA is our best option at the moment.

I am all in on TA and I absolutely see it as a possibility he doesn’t start. I think he can get to a level to where he is splitting one with Dunn getting some of those minutes PF. TA at the 4 isn’t much different than the method used by the team who ended our season.
I don’t really see how this is destroying family. If there is a guy out there he likes that is better than who we have or has skills we lack he will bring him into the program. There are 13 ships and only 8-9 will play each game. They won’t always be freshmen waiting in the wings. Looking forward to seeing who we add before the summer. We will get some early feedback on the team with their international trip this summer.
I think with a better coach and supporting cast he could be a monstro.

Kind of late but as it stands today TA is our best option.
bigmccoog, I’m with you in that IF we do NOT sign another forward as being hinted at in this string, Arceneaux is our best option to hit the weights and play as our 4 next season.
But if we’re fortunate enough to sign a difference maker like Cross, I think someone like Arceneaux can still carve out 30 minutes a game from off the bench across the 2-4 positions. Showing enough flexibility in his game across all 3 positions where he could be NBA viable after his sophomore season if he works as hard as we expect this offseason.

Glad it’s only May 5th and not Halloween. Hunter Dickinson just “committed” yesterday and I swear y’all act like (1) this is our roster for 23-24 and (2) basketball practice started this week.
Players can still hit the TP. And grad transfers can wait even longer to transfer.
Enough talking about it. You gentlemen enjoy your weekend.

I don’t see TA starting next year unless one of the starters Dunn, Shead, Cryer falters. And TA is not a front court player. He is a 3 or a maybe 2. If we do this right, we will have a healthy 6 guard rotation where nobody has to play more then 28 mins per gm. We need a healthy 4 front court rotation. I see only 2 at this point, then 1 one from incoming freshmen and 1 has to be portal - a real good one. Then we have a team to battle in b12. Let’s go!
