Not always, but there are pretty clear connections.
There are a suite of vaccines that are mandated/required by law in order to step foot in a public elementary school.
The covid vaccine is no longer a part of this suite in a similar vain as the flu vaccine
Someone, such as myself, who doesn’t receive the annual flu shot and hasn’t received the covid vaccine beyond the primary series doesn’t make me an anti vaxer

When almost every American whether or not by choice was forced to stay at home glued to their tv, in conjunction with a spike in social media/internet use - yes - radical thought is going to spike
Its pretty clear that all of the charade is starting to decline if it hasn’t already now that people have been transitioning back to normal
Just to stay on top of the subject of Covid - we have had numerous Covid spikes across the country just in the past year and literally nobody cares or wears masks. Sure, the death rate isn’t as bad, but that’s likely because those that would’ve parish already, have already died back in 2020-21
I wonder what the response to COVID would have been if we framed the disease’s impact in terms of sick days and monetary loss instead of death?

The bold is the key and there a couple of reasons for that. Immunity from getting it and/or vaccinated.
We would have never overly focused on this if not for the high death rates. Everyone knew this would come.

The demographic of deaths largely lay in those older than 65 and/or had comorbidities, also largely driven by problems stemming from obesity and being overweight.
The death rate for people not in that category was less than 0.1%. Are there exceptions? Sure. It didn’t justify mandates.
Immunity from Covid vaccines last mere months. So if you got the primary series and/or booster shots from 2021/22, it serves no purpose beyond a few months after the injection.
The concept that these vaccines provide immunity over a lifetime similar to that of a Meningitis or Small Pox shot is not rooted in any science.
Covid was highly politicized by both government and health institutions for reasons that I still do not understand to this day, but it’s very obvious that the virus itself was not a serious threat to the majority of the global population outside of the demographic as mentioned above, who from the very beginning, should’ve been the targeted group to receive vaccines. This would’ve prevented the partisan nonsense that resulted in a number of people dying that didn’t have to because people who had no real threats were rushing to get vaccinated when they didn’t need to
