I’m not defending that clown
Cool
I’m not defending that clown
Then what is your point? Why are you turning this into a referrendum on Covid?
If you speak out against it and claim it causes death, your sure are an anti-vaxxer.
I honestly don’t know
I’m not gonna respond to this thread anymore though
Any vaccine can cause death
I salute your honesty.
Any vaccine can cause death
As can water.
Immunity from Covid vaccines last mere months. So if you got the primary series and/or booster shots from 2021/22, it serves no purpose beyond a few months after the injection.
Some immunity lasts longer. Also, it helped you when you inevitably got it. That’s the real value.
The concept that these vaccines provide immunity over a lifetime similar to that of a Meningitis or Small Pox shot is not rooted in any science.
No one is saying that.
but it’s very obvious that the virus itself was not a serious threat to the majority of the global population outside of the demographic as mentioned above, who from the very beginning, should’ve been the targeted group to receive vaccines. This would’ve prevented the partisan nonsense that resulted in a number of people dying that didn’t have to because people who had no real threats were rushing to get vaccinated when they didn’t need to
That’s all highly debatable but we’ve been through this. No reason to rehash.

So close
Let’s not shirk blame here. Trump was in charge. He was responsible for the messaging. He was just too worried about numbers making him look bad to take control of it.
Don’t be daft. That ticks me off. The OP is about someone who said something false to claim it was Covid. Jeez.
And it’s not a serious threat, primarily because of the vaccine. People acts as if tons weren’t dying before. They were.
I think T-moar had a valid non partisan question. No need to turn this into a partisan fight about Trump.
My response wasn’t antagonistic. Apologies to TMoar if it came off that way. I was stating something in regards to why it didn’t happen, not contrary to his opinion.
I actually blame the lock down. It gave everyone free time to read up and get brainwashed on conspiracies. I kind of don’t blame them, we had nothing better to do after organizing our garages, doing fix ups around the house, binge watch tv shows, we had nothing left to do. And we had no physical contact with friends to tell us the conspiracies were stupid.
Here’s a new one…
There will NOT be another election if the Democrats win, mark my words, this is it America. January 20th the pact that the Democrats signed with the UN in New York goes into effect. It allows the UN to call an emergency action in America for essentially anything and in doing that, the UN has full power over the US. The democrats signed a pact relinquishing US sovereignty to the UN in an emergency. Does the doing nothing about the port strike make sense now? Doing nothing about the hurricane? Even the migrant fiasco can be considered an emergency.
The concept that these vaccines provide immunity over a lifetime similar to that of a Meningitis or Small Pox shot is not rooted in any science.
Actually, the smallpox vaccine doesn’t provide immunity for life.
How do I know?
Because I received TWO of them during my miltiary career.
One in 2003 prior to my first wartime deployment.
And a second in 2013 prior to my fourth (and last) wartime deployment.
Everyone whose smallpox vaccine was greater than 10 years old (I was one of those people) had to get another one.
That said. Does it matter if the protection isn’t for life?
You gotta get a flu shot each season. That’s not an excuse for not getting one.
And given how lethal COVID was at its peak (it literally lowered US life expectancy), I can’t say that mandates were in any sense a bad idea.
also, it’s worth considering that if everyone gets a virus with a 0.1% case fatality rate, that’s almost 400,000 preventable deaths.
