San Antonio Food & Drink Recommendations

For us out-of-towners, I’d love to get some recommendations on places to eat or drink downtown or near the Alamodome.

For Satruday we wanna hit up some bars and get some food prior to meeting at the Marriott for the team send off. After that we will walk to the stadium.

I generally don’t like the tourist stuff on the Riverwalk, so if there are some non-Riverwalk spots that would be even better.

Bill Miller’s. Best BBQ in Texas.

Fred’s Fish Fry is the best seafood in Texas.

Mexican Manhattan closed down after COVID and Jacala Mexican Restaurant burned down. I’d been going to those establishments since I was a kid.

Another vote for mi Tierra in the market square .

Also, the river walk is a huge tourist trap with not so good food. Go have fun at the Pearl Brewery and Hotel Emma.

Dude, no…

Even if the rest of this is spot-on, you’ve lost credibility with the first one.

If y’all go to Mi Tierra and find it crowded, Pico de Gallo is owned by the same folks and not too far away.

Im sorry, i have so say this: bill millers is dog food. Awful.

If you want to try bbq that is different than the norm, go to Curry Brothers BBQ. There is also Burnt Bean Company in Seguin.

Riverwalk restaurants are mostly average at best. But most ppl want to experience dining on the riverwalk so might as well make reservation early if you can. If you like BBQ, Pinkerton’s BBQ pretty solid imo.

Top half bruh

The team send off at Marriott for Sweet 16 in San Antonio against Villanova was awesome. Thousands of fans inside and out, lining to the busses. Got up close to players and coaches and even Bishop. Band and cheerleaders the whole ball of wax.
