San Antonio Food & Drink Recommendations

The original Rudys near Boerne is actually worth going to due to their outdoor pit and serving area.

La Fogata is outstanding

Rosarios is underrated

La Frite Belgium Bistro is a gem.

Recommend reservations for La Fogata & La Frite.

Be sure to stop for a drink at the Menger Hotel Bar. This is the site of Teddy Roosevelt sign up of his Rough Riders, There’s still bullet holes in the walls from a shooting contest he held. Probably after a few libations.

Your sarcasm meter should have went off by me calling Bill Miller’s the best BBQ in Texas.

Come on guys!

If you want some great BBQ make a pit stop in Lockhart!

Of course I was being sarcastic….

The best thing at Bill Milllers BBQ is there brownies and pies,

That’s where the original Macaroni Grill was also!

Like La Fagota, a little touristy but nice outdoor seating. Just a Alamo Cafe fan.

Magnolia pancake house is worth checking out.

Schilo’s for brunch, Cappy’s for dinner. Teka Molino if you want puffy tacos and other traditional TexMex fare

If you go to San Antonio stay close to River walk. Everything further out its ugly.

I just know the audience and didn’t want some unsuspecting visitors to make a trip to ol’ Bill’s. They’d never forgive you.

I had the Curry Boys already lol

Reeses BBQ near downtown is pretty good. They have good dessert items as well

Magpies but can get pricey

La Frite is great. My wife likes to go to sa just to eat here once in a while.

Bar Loretta in south town aint bad

The pullman in the pearl has some really good restaurant options for eats

Hotel Emma is a great place to grab a drink

Ciriqui in the pearl is a great place to grab food and drinks. They are a mesquite smoked bbq mexican fusion restaurant.

Just off the top can add some more later

If folks are in town on Friday night, go to Blue Star. They have a huge first Friday event for local artists. Really cool.

I’ve seen Mi Tierra mentioned a few times. If anyone is going there I highly recommend getting the Sonora Special. Very delicious.
