A ridiculously low base is probably playing a big role in that but impressive nonetheless.
Az at 214%, not bad
Yea and I assume it’s just figures based on what is sold on stub hub. I wonder if there was an increase in listings too or if it was about the same amount listed.
Why didn’t they report the actual numbers to give the % proper context?
It’s definitely what was sold on stub hub. They would need attendance to be like 300,000/game otherwise. We know what their announced attendance in 2023 (which is tickets sold).
Odd math. How does it increase that much from free?
Just wait until we get into a big boy conference. Our fans don’t want to see us play Tulane, Ecu, Temple, Tulsa etc.
It’s good to know that they went from not even being able to give away 32K tickets to having people pay something to see them.
Congrats.
Too bad their only good home opponent was BYU…and they LOST.
Everything about them moving to the ACC from the AAC was a good move. Everything about it.
Except not getting paid jack squat.
I guess it’s nice when you have rich oil barrons to buy yourself a seat at the cool kids’ lunch table.
Doesn’t make you cool though.
Better than being in G5 AAC. How much would they have made in that conference, anyways?
They’d have an easier path to the playoffs.
They just swept through the ACC.
By 3 points…
Not without the NIL investment that their donors came up with in response to joining the AAC.
This was a good example of how borrowing money to make money can work out.
Not quite.
They haven’t played its best teams.
If they screw up the title game, they’ll likely get left out.
By contrast, they’d surely win the AAC and be the highest ranked G5 this year.
As I said, buying a seat at the cool kids lunch table doesn’t mean you’re one of the cool kids.
It just means you’re a dork that paid for cool friends.
Hahaha…I think they would rather have the schedule of the ACC and be a part of a big time conference then play the teams in the AAC.
