Hows the crowd look?

I dunno what it is about 105/106 that our section has so many ticket broker seats. I would think the brokers would make more money on the bench seats but it’s a bummer seeing so many empties. Especially when squatters come in and try to claim my own seats.

I noticed a lot of media people. More than years past due to Big 12?

The crowd was better than it has been but top ten in the country? Nah.

Lol it has a fancy graphic. Has to be legit

60% in the lower deck is grossly inaccurate. In the worst section it was 80-85%. The visitor side was more full in the upper decks with 70-80% and the home side possibly 60%. The lines were ridiculously slow in certain places and hundreds of people were in the concourses.

37k was not the actual attendance - I would say 33-34k. It was a solid turnout with a nice contingent from UTSA. Kudos to their fans.

The crowd looked fat and sweaty

Man, I didn’t even think the heat was that bad - I was certainly expecting worse. I sit on the north side and get the full blast from the sun, but there was a decent breeze and a few clouds.

I am looking forward to that larger scoreboard, though. That will bring the shade at least an hour earlier.

It was a solid crowd, but nothing spectacular. We need to try to get more folks inside before the game starts. That’s where a lot of the “missing” energy used to come from.

We’re getting a new scoreboard?

Plus there were MANY standing in concourse areas. I think the 37+k figure was right.

Yeah the open concourse area to the right of the main score board tron was full of people.

There was a nice breeze there at times
which is why I was there.

I walked along the 3rd deck concourse and followed the line of scrimmage. It was nice and breezy and you can see good from there.

That concourse design is really good. You can strategically go from your seat down to the the concession stand or bathroom and not miss a play.:grinning:

I haven’t had an account on here since the scout days. I lurk as a reader. Season ticket holder since 2002.

I felt the need the chime in on this one because this is the most amount of alum, friends, family, students, and guests I’ve seen on this campus in ages!

The best I can equate it to was the UL game on that Thursday night in 2016 when Ed Oliver nearly killed LJ with a million sacks!

It wasn’t as large as the Memphis 2015 prime time game when the kid hit wide right and secured our spot damn near in the 2015 championship game.

BTW, I was at the navy game in 2015 and aac championship game same year.
Last nights crowd was akin to those games.

Another point of reference, in 2016 we took almost 39,000 down the street to NRG where we gloriously smashed OU and likely caused Bob Stoops demise as HC at OU!

Last nights crowd will be another point of reference for future Coogs! The kids and young alumni at that game will always remember the great atmosphere from last night!

While it seemed muted at times the heat and 6-7 hours of tailgating likely zapped a lot of folks by 4-5pm!

I fully expect the TCU game to be electric as TCU w travels extremely well in Texas and I have several TCU neighbors that bought their tickets back in late spring when schedule was announced!

Remember nights like 09/02/2023!!! It’s just the beginning!

UH has unlimited potential and one that we all have to just enjoy the journey! Remember UF and FSU got boat raced almost yearly for 30 years before they got all the shine.

If you look at a school like UF, UH can get to that point with legislative support. The Cage can easily become the SWAMP in our lifetime!

Book it!! Cook Rice

Most of us old crowd sit there and stare wondering is this the year? After 50 years of that it does get more difficult to stand up and lose what little voice we have left. Im not speaking for everyone but that is my experience. Cautious optimism.

I will say in 2015 I was screaming louder than anyone and could not talk the next day. I could not hear or talk after the Louisville game.

I guess you went to every game to make that assessment
