The next three home games should be full, and if we play well it bodes well for the rest of the home games. TDECU is a great place to watch a football game, especially in October when the weather is nice, playing night games helps.
The attendance last Saturday might be our Lowest of this Season.
We already have almost 36,000 tickets sold for TCU. After beating Rice our fans will get even more fired up.
I see a total sellout for TCU.
This photo shows a little more than half of the seats occupied. Supports my position that lower bowl was 60% full. Empty seats between every group.
Iād love to play poker with you. Iād like to take your money.
Look at all the empty seats!
You need an optometrist
I shared a photo to show that several of the rows in your photo that were empty had people in them at a different point in the game and you want to point out empty seats in my photo which many had people in them in your photo to say the section was only 60% full. We have 2 photos with a lot of different empty seats are you arguing that the people moved? I have sat in that section since the stadium was opened and that is the most people we have had since UL, it was not 100% full, but there is no way that was 60%. I have attached a photo you can use to argue your point more effectively.
Make an appointment.
Itās not that. It is that someone on the board with an aggie handle decides to take something people are excited about and want to shoot it down. So it is really more about you than the game attendance.
Are you just stirring the pot. I had to laugh at your 28k figure. It was by far our biggest crowd in several years. I hope we draw this well the rest of the year
Last Saturday will be the lowest number of tickets sold this season.
We will finish September 5-0.
You are insane if you think there were 28k people total at the game on Saturday. Maybe 28k at that moment in time in your picture, but it easily filled in to 35k or more after sunset.
Not for playersā¦
Did you go to the A&M game?
Every season, itās the same thing with this guy - quibbling over whether peopleās estimates of the crowd were exactly right.
Why do people even engage with it? Itās stupid.
28 ? No way dude
Iām not sure which people on this forum are bad-mouthing UH attendance at this yearās UTSA game.
Anyone who has gone regularly to the games during the last 5 or 6 yrs would know that the UTSA game last Saturday night (at whatever time during the game and with or without an attendance announcement) that UH fans showed up in force and made a statement.
I attended a funeral this week of a very prominent UH fan whose family now has 3 or 4 generations of UH grads. 60% of the people were there with their UH shirts on and stood up for the UH Alma mater song at end of service. The people i spoke to were excited about the attendance.
So those of you who are beyotching about the attendance need to shut up. Thereās nothing on this topic to even vent about.
If you are there for both alma maters then you are early enough for the teamās entry which is what is important.
I really donāt care what the band doesā except seeing the H magically appear, of course.
I am not trying to insult anyone and the real numbers mean absolutely nothing it was a great turnout and UH made the money regardless of who showed upā¦ I said 28K plus or minus 10% which is a range of 25k-31k if you want me to really narrow it down 28-30k is where I really think we were, which is roughly a no show rate of 20-25%. I watched ticket sales on Stubhub up until noon on the day of the game and honestly there were still a ton left on the market, you could get in for $4-6+fees all week. I could not sell my 230 tickets on the aisle (35 yard line) for $25 each so I gave them to a guy I work with who promised to use them, then he did not, so my personal no show rate was 40%. I just donāt see 85-90% of capacity at that game, hell I have been to plenty of ALCS and ALDS Astros games with empty blocks of seats.
We have a ton of tickets in the hands of ticket brokers because we have some really great games this year, games that will not kick off at 100 degrees against old CUSA teams. We also have some members of our fan base that buy season tickets and only goes to a handful of games anyways. It is only going to get better from here. TCU will be awesome. I already sold the tickets I had trouble giving away and tried to sell for $25 for $70 each.
FYI I had my company buy 2 season tickets this year with the plan to sell the TCU and UT games and give the rest away to my customers. It is harder than I thought it would be to give tickets away to people that will use them, mostly because a tree crush my house so I am only working 1 lead a week right now.
Quite honestly, Iām not interested in peopleās emotions. Iām interested in facts and the truth.
