“Houston is one of the most underrated teams in the Country” KSU Coach Jerome Tang

Direct quote from KSU coach Jerome Tang in post game presser. COOGS are really improving and showed a lot of depth tonight. 8 guys with 8-15 points. Totally agree with what Tang said tonight! He basically stated that Houston does so many things well!

They’re starting to click. I love their position right now. Let teams over look us. :sunglasses::beers:

I hope they do as well! I don’t think it matters every time we play, Milos is a better QB as CKS calls his point guard!

Tang is very complementary of Houston.

I know that we have tougher games coming up in the big 12, bud. We are not only improving, but we have a lot of EXPERIENCED Players that are improving as well! I believe that team has a HGHI CEILING!

The one thing the last two years we are missing is Cryer doesn’t rebound. Its been a while since Sampson had a guard that didn’t rebound. Not sure it matters as rebounding isn’t an issue as we now have multiple bigs that can do it.

Maybe it will be. I don’t know.

The team is deep.

The team is balanced.

March is about how good your guards are, we have 4 (now 5 with Wilson) who are really good.

It is best defensive team in our history and probably the Big 12 history.

The team is really well coached.

It has NCAA tournament experience.

Why not the Coogs cutting down the net.

We’re coming on at the right time. Things just needed to click. Even our losses though, 2 of them were to top 5 teams and all of them were 5 points or less. On top of that all of our wins have been convincing. With Tugler and Arceneaux returning from injury as getting stronger and Francis finally fully fit along with Uzan starting to click it’s all coming together. We’re gonna be scary come tournament time

Underrated???

Everyone has us as a potential championship contender?

We started the season in the top 5.

Does he mean we have the potential to win the NBA finals also?

Many dismissed us after the three early losses.

Maybe Tang was one of them. His mistake.

Underrated is a great place to be. Let the national polls put us lower than we deserve bc of a few pre season losses. Fine by me. Let others handle that pressure.

Tell you what though when we start beating better b12 teams that will start changing some minds. Surprising mountaineer squad is dust up in this list.

If we are “underrated” at #12……then I can only assume that our TRUE ranking would be Top Two!

This seems like a clear case of the national media only watching the Auburn and Alabama games and thinking that is who we are. Even then, I can’t wrap my mind around a double-digit ranking for this team. That being said, they seem to play the underdog well!

They will undervalue us demolishing decent opponents until we do it to say Kansas, ISU, Baylor, Arizona.
We are so good defensively I actually like (afterwards) when a teams find some successes like Reynolds for TCU or the 2nd half for KSU. This just makes us even better moving forward.

Don’t care. I don’t need an outsider to tell me we are really F’in good and getting better every game.

Basketball is a sport where perception only matters with seeding.

Yeah, this is a non-issue. Plus, we’re a three-loss team without a big win, regardless of the rationalizations.

Our time is coming, and we’ll have a chance to beat teams that are ahead of us.

I guess it is like talking to yourself!LOL

Any word on MacFarland? That would be huge if he came back this season…give our main bigs some rest and won’t loose much rim protection

I’m curious as well. He seemed to be walking around pretty good at the KSU game. Jumping right up off the bench to cheer on his team.

Considering all the injuries we’ve had in the past it would be nice to have him available as an insurance piece.
