Houston Astros 2023 Season on a daily roll

Abreu beginning to play up to expectations.

Brantley shows little signs of a drop off in his performance.

Altuve is going through a HOF stretch.

The rest of the lineup is having a highly productive season, except for Meyers.

Maldy surprises from time to time.

SP looking better. RP is outstanding.

If the O and D continue to flourish, the Astros will become even more formidable going into the playoffs, thus increasing their odds to repeat as WS champions.

Starting pitching is still a question mark for me as far as making a WS run.

I think this series with San Diego will give us a good view. The Padres have talent that has underperformed.

But this is the kind of series the 2023 Astros have struggled with.

Pound the Padres.

I guess he was pacing himself.

So who were the guys fighting in the dugout?
I hope it was Kessinger and Mushinski.

What fight in the dugout? I looked earlier today and did not come across anything

has anyone else?

I thought someone said on here that the camera caught the players rushing into the tunnel

“McCormick’s weight has been part of the reason for his lower usage.”

Have they seen some of the pitchers ?

Rome is agitating, saying people in the organization have stated off the record that Dusty doesn’t like Chas

It’s interesting that you mention that because I think I remember someone asking a question about that and Dusty kind of gave a half answer. Maybe he just didn’t know about it. But I remember a question like that.

Have they seen Maldy?!

If that’s the case he should not play at all

lol

4 insiders say it is something Dusty talks about? Even he can’t be that dumb.

I think it’s probably true

Chas does not want to say anything and cause a distraction.

I think it was Jesse
.though I could be wrong.

Good. I thought I just dreamt it.

Notice the use of the past participle, “dreamt.”

That’s the colloquial British variant, mofos.

I doubt this is true. I’ve never observed anything from Chas that is unlikeable - unlike Siri, Odorizzi, and a few others. Plus, the Astros broadcast team loves Chas.

I just think Dusty has too many good options with this team and he is a stubborn old man. Does anybody think he doesn’t like Yainer?

Apparently Dusty is that dumb.

He has a problem with Chas playing at 220 instead of 210?

He has to have had a conversation with him? Right?
If he hasn’t then he should not be managing any team.

So let’s “assume “there was a conversation
.the player has said he feels stronger, and there is proof as he is playing at an All-Star level
.so why on earth would you not play him as much? Ridiculous

Maldy plays almost everyday and he is the most out of shape of all position players( we’ll leave pitchers out of this)
lol

So either Rome is FOS or Dusty is a moron.

Maybe some of us are not aware of how good Chas has actually been, so instead of comparing him to Dubon let’s compare to Julio Rodriguez.

AB’s

Rodriguez—567
Chas—336 ( over 200 less!)

OBP

Rodriguez—-.338
Chas—.371

BA

Rodriguez—.280
Chas—.289

OPS

Rodriguez—.824
Chas—.898

HR’s

Rodriguez—27
Chas—20

RBI’s

Rodriguez—93
Chas—63

Chas leads all the metrics

of , he also has 3 runs saved on defense.

Chas would average at least the same in traditional categories if he had the same amount of AB’s.

This is compared to who is generally believed to be the best young outfielder in the game.

I don’t care how much you like Dusty, you can’t defend this.

If he is the best hitter in the second half of the season find out what he is eating.

Dusty is an old man that doesn’t want to be told what to do.

Dusty looks overweight himself. Maybe Brown should promote Espada as Manager until Baker gets his weight down.

Dusty refuted the overweight question. He said it was a crazy question. I’m paraphrasing.
