My my, some folks are getting really picky about winning enough in November. I can’t think of a better time for a college basketball team to lose close games against other top teams. Learn now what you can do better and needs fixing, March or April is too late.
Just be glad we have the BEST coach and staff in college basketball.

In my book Sampson is above criticism. What he’s done for the basketball program is simply unbelievable. We went from obscurity playing in front of 200 people in a rat-infested gym to being one of the top five programs in the country playing in front of sold-out crowds in a beautiful new facility. We won the best conference in college basketball last year and probably would have made the Final Four (would have been the second time in four years) if not for Shead’s injury. He is at least on par with Coach Lewis, much like Nick Saban to Bear Bryant at Alabama.

I used to do a BA-GAWK when Chicken was here and you could hear it through all of Hofheinz because it was so quiet normally… it did get loud in there, though.
I think Willie can come close. Making Tulane into a football winner is the equal of doing the same at Rice. People forget Tulane is the Rice of that part of the country.
I am a fan of all Cougar sports and more.
I was in the band under coach Yoeman’s last year. We did not win many games that year.

Sampson gave Coog fans what they always desired…relevance. Playing at this level means losing. I think some of us think we deserve a trajectory that leads to the NC. We don’t deserve that…imo. We just deserve a team that plays hard. The regular season is for conference championships snd preparing for the second season. We haven’t even started.
