Football fans invading the Basketball forum

It’s obvious to me that tccoog is a self made billionaire with nothing to do but compare UH BB to his own successes. Wonder which Fortune Top 10 business he is heading up ? ? ? ? ?

CKS teams consistently perform poorly on offense and flame out in the tournament.

Maybe we could hire the head coach at Dime Box, Texas to come take CKS’s place. I’m sure he would be an up and comer, and put in as much effort as CDH did while here.

Nailed it. Well said.

Sorry but while I love UH and the basketball program, I am not a kool-aid sipper and won’t be satisfied until we at least make another final four. TBH, we should have made at least one more by now.

Sorry if that makes me unappreciative but I don’t care. If UH admin are going to ask us for money and time to dedicate to the school, then I and others have a right to ask where the money is going in what is the plan going to use it going forward.

So your expectation is that we make the final four at least ever 3 years? Setting yourself up for a lot of disappointment thinking like that, js.

People need to understand CKS was taking 3 stars if that, players making them in to elite BB players good enough to be drafted into the NBA some of them. Now he’s nabbing 5-4 stars who are willing to adopt to CKS style of coaching and play, elite hard core D, but now with offensive capability. He never had access before but now does because he gets players into the NBA. He has 3 stars who play junkyard dog D, now you got 5-4 stars who will be playing junkyard dog D with great Offensive skills. I Always said give me 5 stars who bring a blue collar lunch pail mentally, you got something special and unstoppable.

In my humble amateur opinion from afar, this year’s UH team’s biggest strength and takeaway is that they play EXTREMELY hard and are tough as nails. Their defense takes a back seat to nobody and that will keep them in every single game with elite teams, and they will consistently crush souls in games 2nd tier and down.
(Don’t worry, I won’t cite my 3A HS basketball OR my adult rec league credentials, and they don’t inform my opinion here whatsoever, I assure you! lol)

My kneejerk eyeball test reaction is that UH is not a particularly sexy or dynamic offensively, at least in terms of the cream of the crop in CBB, which they are certainly in that category.

If you can match their intensity and toughness, you are not going to lose any sleep about your chances to get a hard earned W. At the same time, matching that is as tall of a task as you will find in that regard.

That’s my outsider’s bottom line takeaway with this squad.

I don’t think I’m a hater, just critical of the offense. But sorry you don’t like people having opinions you don’t agree with.

Shead is definitely missed from this team. I selfishly wish that he came back.

Yes you can have so called great players but you still need a leader. I have no doubts leader(s) will emerge.

No hate here, I just want us to play at a championship level especially if you are a top 5 team or a 1 seed.

I’ve asked a couple times, and you refused to answer. Who are the coaches you think are so great.

This. I’m sure there’s a coach out there that he knows of that would never lose a game. Ever. He just won’t tell us because reasons…
