Chip Kelly leaves HC Job to become OC

I never said that all of those teams would be leaving for a P2 now, did I?

Hint: NO. I didn’t. And if you have continuously MISREAD what I’ve written again and again…then all I have to say is…reading comprehension must have been a weak subject of yours in school.

I said that FOUR ACC teams would end up in the P2: FSU, Clemson, UNC, UVA.

4-6 may end up in the Big 12 at that point.

That’s IT.

NO 48 team P2.

Only YOU keep talking this 48 team nonsense. NOTHING I’ve posted could ever be construed in such a way.

CO, AZ, Utah, and Kansas are not additive enough football brands to attract a P2 invite.

so for the record…

You’re saying the B1G 10 will add 4 to get to 22 …
…but 24 is a ridiculous number for the B1G 10
…and then you’re saying
…that 4-6 ACC schools will make a lateral move to go to a 20, or 22 member Big 12…

OK…and you think my take is crazy!

NOPE!

I said that the B1G will add ND and 0-2 ACC schools for a max of 19-21.

I said that the SEC will add either two (if the B1G takes two) or four (if the B1G takes zero) ACC schools for a max of 18-20.

The Big 12 will take 4-6 ACC mid-bloods for a max of 20-22.

I think I’ve said this a GAZILLION times. Not sure which part of that you repeatedly fail to understand.

Tell me which schools end up where?

Too hard to say.

But I can tell you this much.

There are only FIVE brands out there that are big enough to truly add value to the P2: ND, FSU, Clemson, UNC, and UVA.

Don’t bet on anyone else getting a P2 invite.

If its P2 now does that mean Big12 is G7?

no…it will be a M1 or M2.

All depends on what happens with the ACC

M#= not quite P2 but > than G#

Are you saying that a new “M” category will be written into the NCAA bylaws?

No…the amount of playoff bids earned by the P2+ ND (7-9) vs the M2 (2-4) vs the G# (1) coupled with the huge disparity in media coverage/ resources/ talent/ NIL $$/ Media payouts will tell us all we need to know.

The P2 is not going to get nine playoff bids. 6-7 is more like it.

The problem with having too many top programs in your conference is essentially what you are seeing now in the Big 12 in basketball: they all start beating each other and “cannibalizing” their won-loss records and playoff resumes.

In basketball you can get away with that to a degree, because there are so many games.

But in football, all it takes is one or two losses to dash your hopes.

The P and G categories are in the by-laws?

The P5 are in the by-laws as statutory “autonomy” conferences.

So we won’t lose our P status

7-9 LAW…7-9 and that includes ND

The G# is only ever getting 1 and the 7 is with the M2 getting 4 spots

7 + 4 + 1= 12

No way the M2 gets 5 and the P2 gets 6

ND isn’t P2…YET.

Leaving ND aside, 6-7 P2s.

And ND may not automatically qualify.

…and the point is?
Yes both schools are above us right now but I am 100% confident HCWF is going bring U of H to the very top of college football. Within three years I expect us to be playing a role in the CFP. That is of course dependent on the following. History is all there for us to be cautious:
mad cows us located in Austin teamed up with the ncaa (had implants) to get us on probation multiple times. This is a fact. This started before and right after we won the SWC and joined the SWC.What makes you think they would not do the same? That is my biggest fear.
I do have all the confidence in the world with HCWF. In fact I will go further with the following. I believe HCWF has an axe to grind against both PUF schools. He knows first hand what they represent and how they got where they are. He is going to want to create history as quickly as he can. His early recruiting indicates how motivated he is. I wrote it before. I am amazed on how quickly he is improving our program. Judas scre…d us but I do believe he thought we were going to the BIG 12 in the first possible invite. It did not happen and we know why. mad cows u located in Austin put their veto and that was that. Oh yes they still have not sold the land…why do you think that is?
What are the ramifications if we get to play for the top of College Football?
Think about this because this is indeed crucial and here is why.
We are a college football powerhouse?
We are a basketball powerhouse?
We are in the soon to be 3rd biggest City in America?
We are soon to be in the 7th National media market?
In three years time we will be close to AAU. Leave that to Mrs. Khator.
It is 100% plausible that the big10 will want to add U of H. It is as plausible as some of the comments that I have read before.
Add this. I keep reading about brands. Yes friends you become a brand when you establish yourself as a powerhouse. I will add that the big10 would love to “stick it” to mad cows u located in Austin. What better way for them to further establish themselves but to anchor themselves in Texas?
The only thing we know for sure is that no one knows what will happen. This is valid for me and everybody else claiming we have no chance at a big10 invite.

UCLA is in the Big Ten conference and they still couldn’t keep their HC from taking an OC job. Even P2s wish they were a bigger brand.
Always strive to move up and get better. But since we just moved to the Big 12 maybe it would be alright to enjoy it for a lttle awhile and not worry about the immediate future

Perhaps some coaches. With our paltry attendence and overall support, we aren’t the belle of the ball

Attedance and paltry support got nothing to do with performance on the field the coaches and the players do Nebraska has a full stadium every game, not helping there record.
