Despite Houston’s cons as a city, I think anyone who experiences it here wants to stay here

This city is marble slab of concrete and limited parking spaces, yet you spend a week here and it feels like home

TwinMom !
What is going on here ? What happened ? I have always been a big fan of his . Huge disappointment !

Let’s hope Willie does the right thing and gives this man a raise after they got off to a rough start.

This should make early and the wife happy. And the kids get to stay in town.

I’m not Twinmom.

My honest opinion is that Early is a goner

Fritz and Holgorsen are two polar opposites in coaching style, and it’s possible that Early gave it some time and just felt like it wasn’t going to work here

I agree. At this point all the damage is done. Only way to save it is to pay up!

Missouri is the state’s flagship university and plays in the SEC. Lots of alumni and presumably, more NIL money. I’m guessing Early got a bump in salary and has Brandon on the staff. He knows the recruiting lay of the land in Southeast Texas and has developed connections. He’ll be competitive in NIL. Good pickup for Missouri.

Next coach up!

If Fritz is dominant here in Houston, then I fully expect Fritz to take the next job as well.

Houston is a stepping stone, it is what it is. The Big 12 just isn’t the Power 2 no matter which way you look at it

Plenty of P2 schools are stepping stones too. There only a few places that aren’t.
Take the inferiority complex to the UT game thread

It kinda reminds me when that coach struck out with the OL that went to Florida last year, wasn’t he let go afterwards.

Can’t argue with that. I just won’t be suprised if Fritz dips the minute an opportunity arises (assuming he does well here)

His track record of shows that he is in continuous upwards trajectory

I know what you are saying…… I was thinking it would make him want to stay.

But he really might be looking for exit.

He initially wasn’t going to be retained but his replacement backed out to stay at Tulane. Probably his number one job was to retain Caldwell and that was not successful. He was going to be moving on one way or the other.
