According to Kendall Rogers, Whitting

Time… and rope.

What are you doing with the rope?

An old saying: “Give a fool enough rope and eventually he will hang himself” meaning a fool’s own mistakes will doom him to failure.

I’m familiar with the saying but I don’t think it applies.
TW has had enough rope to play tug of war from here to Egypt.

Ace Reese committed to Mississippi St. I don’t think he is that talented but we will see how it plays out. If you wanted him to stay then you need to talk to Whitt. They promised him $30K but only paid him $20K. When he told him why he was leaving, he got dog cussed out by Kivett.

Whelp. If you promise $30k to commit and play and only pay $20k, shame on the coaches.

Was it $30k to come to Houston or $30k to not transfer?

He is pretty good and he will enjoy playing in that program, I’m sure. Good for him.

These guys probably want money because they know they aren’t developing more skills in the program.

Complete bush league and just another reason the entire staff should be gone……if you tell a kid “this is what you’re going to get.”

Then keep your damn word….and what kind of douche is Kivett to “cuss a kid out” under any conditions much less that one….

I love UH and always will but until there is a change I can not support this program in any way whatsoever.

Is it legal to just pay players to play for your team?

After that lawsuit that just got settled, the answer appears to be yes.

Which lawsuit?

The House lawsuit. It was technically about college football, but it seems that the same legal reasoning could apply to any college sport.

NIL effectively made it legal anyway.

They probably want money because they want money. Just like everyone.

Bottom line is if he was given a number then pay him the number……and to give him sh-t when he called them out and said he was leaving?

That’s next level douchery.

$30K to come to Houston

This was an NIL promise. Legally, the coaches/schools are not allowed to get the players money, but he was promised $30K in NIL money. They did that with a lot of kids last year and didn’t come close to matching what they promised. The lawsuit that uhlaw talked about will allow the schools/coaches to get them the money through the school.
