Wood leaving for Lubbock proves that we live rent-free in the techtards heads

They clearly were planning this for a while, stalking us when we didnt even play them this year.

Next man up.

We CANNOT lose to them next year. IT. IS. NOT. AN. OPTION.

Ill say what have already said and that this dumb. If the philosophy is the same then might promote a defensive position coach to keep the defense philosophy similar.

We aren’t serious if we promote an assistant after the Barbay blunder. Fritz’s seat will be hot by end of next season

Wood also coached ILB.
Safeties or DL coach?

Just stop dude

IF we go 5-7 next season. It is warm, to say the least. Minimum is 6-6.

You have to fire your OC who lead the worst offense in CFB. You let the only bright spot from this season get poached by tech day before signing say and week before portal opens? Program found a way to take a step back which is really hard to do

You’re giving CWF way too much assumed authority to blame him for a DC leaving. Anything regarding the business side of things will largely fall on the AD, not Fritz. Fritz is the one who finds the coaches not pay them.

Secondly, we can’t just keep firing coaches every 2 years or else nobody will ever coach here. We are also on a budget and cannot continue paying out fired coaches

I see where you’re coming from, but in this NIL world, 2 years seems like the minimum.

Look at Bama, if DeBoer doesn’t deliver a 10 win season next season, his seat could begin to warm. Bama, with a 9-3 record, not bad, had two really bad losses this season (and probably should have lost to Gamecock).

It doesn’t matter who is to blame. It is Fritz’ seat that gets hot after another crap season.

if they like the coach, why would they leave?

Stay in Houston, where you had success, with the staff you like or make a lateral move to Lubbock and enter the unknown.

I could see him leaving for a blue blood SEC or B1G job but for Texas Tech ?!?!?

They have a solid head coach. And some coaches like the wide open spaces.

It proves Tech is more serious about football than we are.

Who cares about what Tech does.
They are the only school from Texas with no BCS or NY6 bowl appearances let alone a win.

No.

that’s concerning…he took FOREVER to turn things around at Tulane.

He has 2 years MAX left here if we aren’t in B12 Championship contention.

WE can’t endure sub 6 win seasons here.

Even 6 wins is horrible
