Wisest words about getting the story first

I think this applies to people posting every random media report about UH, it’s coaches, staff and players. Especially the ones that make the title as if it is real news like “Herman going to LSU” or “Kiffin is our new coach.”

You aren’t making yourself more popular by being the first to spread rumors on Coogfans and get clicks with a deceptive title like something is a done deal. It not only affects your fellow fans but it could also affect the lives of everyone around UH.

If you really think it’s your job to post random gossip from sports writers, at least put the source in the headline like “USAToday writer says Kiffin is the next coach.” Is that too much to ask?

Not everyone is a writer. Your fellow coogs you complain about usually are just trying to be part of the community and give back and just don’t know how to write a title in a way that doesn’t bother you. Maybe you should just not let it bother you instead if trying to control their actions.

As with many things, some news organizations appear to be better than others. Unfortunately, NPR does not report as much on college football, or at least not to our liking. Still, they do.

Just think about that statement you just made a little. lol

I don’t need to, I’m not bothered by your statement. Nor did i start a thread complaining about other people’s actions. I was simply giving you advice that it’s easier to control your response than other people’s actions. You can twist what i said as you like or you can take it as friendly advice, up to you.
