VP Debate

I think these guys were more respectful than any debate involving Trump.

I didn’t agree with everything either guy said, and overall it was close.

I figured we’d hear Vance play the “I’m a combat veteran and you’re not” card, with Walz firing back with the “I’m a Sergeant Major….Sergeant” card.

Nothing on that though.

Didn’t like Vance trying to defend Trump on Jan 6th, and not be willing to say that Trump lost in 2020.

I now need to read that Minnesota abortion law and see what it actually says.

At least Vance isn’t doing the people eat dogs and cats garbage.

Walz proved to have a deeper perspective on national politics than I had seen before.

In the end though……I doubt this will change many minds.

I’ll use the catch phrase of the night. “I agree”

I think that the low lights for each man were:

Vance not being willing to admit that Trump lost in 2020, and brushing off Jan 6.

Walz getting flustered on the whole Tienanmen claim.

Good job by the moderators on getting both guys off balance.

I heard about 5 or 10 minutes of the debate on the radio last night.

I think these two would be the better Presidential candidates for the US, rather than the two we’ve got.

Optically yeah these are the same thing of getting off balance. Practically one is definitely worse than the other

Not looking for a one sided opinion, I know where I stand but missed the debate. Who actually came out on top?

Honestly kind of depends on what you define as a debate “win”. If you mean optics Vance won big. Walz was more substantial in his answers but pretty consistently looked out of his depth.

Vance. He accomplished what he wanted and came across well. That’s not to say he didn’t have bad moments.

That said, it’s going to depend on who you ask. This one was pretty close unlike the last 2 presidential debates.

Yeah both really accomplished what a VP debate is about. Not f’ing things up for your boss, both succeeded in that.

I don’t believe you win debates by lying or not answering the questions.
