UH Softball

Swept by UCF by combined score of 27-2 at home.

We had two top 25 programs in CUSA with good crowds.

Biting my tongue. So many issues.

When the team is this bad, unless you have a coach that can sell a vision no top players ( high school or portal) are going to come to UH.

There has to be a change.

8 straight conference losses in a row. Most of them very ugly.

It continues to amaze me how these programs aren’t better, softball included. This city is a talent hotbed. It just takes the right coach.

Pez says we’re broke in regards to hiring coaches.
#enjoytheride

So short sighted and a situation exacerbated by his contract extensions and initial hirings. This is all on Pez. A complete embarrassment and disservice to the spring athletes who came here hoping to improve and represent in the B12

Just got swept by OU. OU is a powerhouse but we lost the series 23-2. Shutout twice.

We are now 4-21 vs P5. We’ve been shut out 6 times. Held under 3 runs 14 times. And we’ve lost by 8+ runs 9 times.

A once solid program lies in ruins.

In our last 3 Big 12 series we are 0-9. We’ve been shut out 5 times. We are averaging under a run per game. We’ve also given up 8+ in 6 of those 9.

Worst hire ever. And that’s saying a lot given the coaching atrocities of all our spring sports save a couple. Can’t believe this has been going on for about 6 years as head coach and over 10 total yeas at UH. The damages has been done, it will take years to recover, even if she was let go tomorrow. So sad.

The city is not a talent hotbed - the surrounding areas are but the city of 4 million? Hardly as name a school district inside the beltway with dominant talent

Once you get outside the beltway those schools have no connection to the city

What I’m saying is you don’t have to go far to recruit top talent.

I understand what you meant……you clearly meant the area.

How many winning D1 softball teams have the volume of players moving in and out of the transfer portal that this team has had the past few years?
Something is not right inside this program. It is past time to replace the coaching staff!

Please everyone write to UH President. I don’t think Pez will listen.

In Houston once you pass the beltway it’s no man’s land in terms of loyalty and affiliation

It’s no-man’s land inside the Beltway, too. If it’s not Taylor Swift doing a tic-toc then Houstonians have no interest.

Lol - just look at the districts inside of it - just shells of their former selves and full of charters who produce no athletes - these suburban kids don’t know how it is to not know what a rainout is as they play on turf  since birth

Where did our dominant softball coach go? Who hired her away?

So, we’re 20-6 outside the Big 12? Boy, that must be some bad teams. We’ll probably get some more Big 12 wins next year when the teams that are 37-7 leave and we bring in Utah, ASU, UofA and CU which currently combine for 24-42 in the Pac12 standings. CU doesn’t have a team.
