I like this a lot, especially since we don’t get any exhibition games. We’ll have a safe margin of victory just by talent against Lamar, and will get opportunities to make mistakes with little consequences before bigger games.
CMCoog17 posted - Its weird that it’s 23 days until game time and they haven’t figured out seating.
We received an email about having to “opt in” by 5:00 yesterday to be in the seat selection process that will start Thursday November 12. Talked with CP contact last week and the online seat selection process (similar to football) will be based on CP priority points and price of basketball ticket. No floor seats and social distancing will be in place. I asked him if too many season ticket holders “opt in” what will happen. Response was don’t know…
I didn’t receive that email…
I am fairly certain the email was address to all season ticket holders. Then you need to call your CP contact and / or ticket office to be included in the “opt in.”
I just did that. Thank you.
They said yesterday was the deadline but she could add me to the list.
She also said I wouldn’t keep my same seats I’d be moved around if we manage to get seats.
Last but not least she said seats roll over to next season but there are going to be options to opt out.
Thanks again Coog74

texas tech released their full schedule… their game vs sam houston state is in lubbock, could be a hint that our game vs boise could be a home game for us
also we are the only noteable non-conference texas tech is playing…us and st johns are their only non horrible game, st johns is projected bottom 3 in the Big big east
Alabama released it schedule, our games vs them is December 19th at Tuscaloosa on a saturday
them or memphis will be seen as our second hardest game of the year
When exactly is their game with SH scheduled for ?
November 27th
I’m not surprised Tech scheduled that weak in non-conf since they have 7 new players and there won’t be any exhibition games this year. Beard was on a podcast a month ago expressing concerns about trying to integrate a bunch of new players this off-season.
Big12 also projected to be excellent (again), so strength of schedule is not a concern for them.
UH at #16 for those who don’t have time to click the link. Here’s the paragraph.
16. Houston : The Coogs should be the American Athletic Conference’s top team for the third straight season. That’s a testament to the culture Kelvin Sampson’s built at UH. This team lost a key piece in Nate Hinton but it’s still in the top-20 genre. Houston’s dangerous due to its deployment of wings and guards: Quentin Grimes, DeJon Jarreau, Marcus Sasser and Caleb Mills, who’s potentially the top player in the AAC. The phrase “they get out and guard you” hit a saturation point more than five seasons ago in college hoops commentary, but Houston meets the definition on an every-night basis. Officially the best era for Houston hoops since Clyde the Glide and Akeem the Dream were starring for the greatest basketball fraternity in college history.
I received that one as well. I deferred my seats to the following season, but I’m almost thinking if that wasn’t a mistake.
Ahead of everyone in the PAC12. If SMU and Cinci show up wouldn’t surprise me if AAC ranks higher than PAC at the end of the season.
Haven’t received anything but bought my waitlist spot a few days ago.
I would hope to make it in this year since I am moving out of state for Grad School attempt 2 next year
Just got the updated email. Lots of opt-ins for their season tickets. Appears like there will be some season ticket holders out of luck this year. Another email coming tomorrow with info on one’s slot time.
Rice game is December 12th
So. Ready. For. Basketball!
