Not love?
The list says good vs evil.
I feel like a lot of the recent shows im watching are blurring that line. Makes it more realistic
Well if it’s a war movie should there not be violence? If the story being told includes violence then yes there needs to be violence….
You don’t have to watch it.
And I’m proud to have grown up in America, even with all its faults I know I’m extremely lucky to have been born in this country.
And please don’t hijack this thread and turn it into anti gun/violence…… the thread is to talk specifically about TV series or movies we have seen and enjoyed or didn’t enjoy…
Give me a break. I didn’t start with the too much sex and nudity talk. Just pointing out America is fine with violence but ohh no a person naked is going to far. We are a funny culture that way.
Westworld too much nudity get back to the shooting and killing, that’s story.
You said “ do we need violence”, “yup that’s how we grow up in America “, and “ not love”.
You had zero intention of talking about what the thread was intended for…… just to bring in your agenda once again….
So give me a break…. Go find another thread to do your thing.
Look through the thread, ive been here discussing tv shows throughout. Stop being a combative Coog
Omg…… I’ll stop now, because you don’t even realise what you do apparently…. Or just play dumb…. Not sure which….
I was discussing tv shows and replying to someone saying Westworld didn’t need nudity.
I’ll put it in terms you understand. Stop trying to cancel me.
Sorry calling out our love for violence but prudish takes on nudity triggered you. Not playing dumb i just don’t care that calling things out bothers you. Did i say anything that isn’t true?
calling out Westworld nudity is being prudish? Ok. I guess you were groomed by Hollywood cabal obviously, that’s a high threshold.
What’s the point. Everyone is one click away from real porn.
Back to shows. Anyone enjoying the latest season of Amazon’s show “The boys”?
I have never seen one episode…… but I’m starting right now actually……do I need to watch the “episode 0’s”?
The Boys is fantastic…twisted and warped. Homelander is truly terrififying and the actor who plays him does a great job.
I think episode 0 is just the trailer.
Agreed. I heard he’s really good in “Banshee” but I’ve never seen it.
He was good in Banshee…but at a whole different level in The Boys. Just an unhinged sociopath, with some real bizarre fetishism to boot.
Watched the first two episodes of The Old Man with Jeff Bridges and the first two episodes of Dark Winds……The former looks promising, Bridges character is ex-CIA undercover.
Dark Winds takes place in 1971 New Mexico, Tribal Police and FBI not working well together to say the least….
Lets get the Kenobi talk on this thread. Because its events are in the past they have really caged themselves in. A showdown between Vader and Kenobi means nothing because we know the future. Star Wars continues to place kids in pivotal roles. Seeing a young Leia is fine but seeing her run from mercenaries( great to see Flea get a role) that are obviously slowing down not catch the actress is pretty lame. Maybe die hard Star War fans are loving it but to me it sees like a lot of nothing
Disney has mishandled the franchise. It was in near total collapse after Solo until they got super lucky with Mandalorian. But instead of parlaying that, they messed up all the subsequent series. Bobafet sucked big balls. And Obiwan is terrible as well. I’ve heard that Taika Waititi wants to do a Star Wars series OUTSIDE of the main storyline. I think this is what will make Cougardue and me happy as it doesn’t have to pander to existing storylines. It’ll just be a new story inside the Star Wars universe.
So we’re all in agreement Boba Fett Ave Obi Wan have been trash. Which is a shame because I’m Obi Wan I feel like they’re wasting some pretty good villains. Not great but pretty good. I think it was a mistake abandoning the extended universe books that took everything way past Jedi. This is stuff that could’ve been reworked with new characters and have solid stories well beyond moving past the original cast.
