Sampson needs to be on the phone or on the road to Kansas. That dude would fit our system well. He thrives in pick and rolls. Is strong to the basket and and strong with blocking. But we’re being told stretch 4.

What makes Udeh stand out other than being 6’10 250. His stats as a freshman werent great at KU. Bad free throw shooter and non existent perimeter game. His best game down the stretch was against the weakest opponent.

UH already has quite a bit of young bigs w/potential.
I rather ride w/Roberts & a stud pf than Udeh and unproven and small 4 in TA.

Udeh and Roberts could play at the same time but it would be crowded in the paint if J’Wan doesn’t stretch his game out to the perimeter.
Find one from the portal. Or the one Jo has promised for like a month.
Coach has said Roberts aint moving from the center position.
Roberts game against Miami sent alarm bells to me for B12 competition. Him and Udeh can coexist. In fact, Roberts and Francis can play more aggressively with Udeh in the lineup. Our guards and shooting forwards will get the majority of points. Udeh doesn’t need a perimeter game. If Roberts develops one, watch out.

if dedan commits and reclasses we are playing small ball almost assuredly
we’d have too many playable guard and not that many bigs, can probably expect TA at the 4…
if not we are a probably bringing in a big, and TA likely stays at the 3

someone would have been in the portal if that was the case, we only have 1 ship… we arent finding out till tomorrow but the coaching staff likely knows if he is coming or not… theyd have put someone in the portal to make room

Who gives #% about perimeter game. That’s for NBA game. We need a big rebounder that defends and tips it in on the offensive side. Every time I see a guy 6-9 shooting from the corner I think, “here goes a fast break the other way.” Screw the perimeter. Do we not have enough guards?

Dedan is for '24 as it stands. Unless he reclassified we still have one ship for next year, right?
Udeh would be a nice pickup for defensive purposes. Offensively he doesn’t have much game other than lobs off of pick and rolls. Very similar to Francis. I’m still holding out hope that we’ll sign a player like Grant or Kaluma. Two guys that can score and play defense at the 4 position, but also play small ball.
dedan is 24 but as early as a few days was saying reclassing is a real possibility…
and if we are leaning towards a non offensive big i hope we lean towards moussa cisse (big 12 dpoy) who is still available… need experience from the bigs
