Why just limit “horrible” to Dickey’s time as UH’s coach? We were also horrible under Alvin and Ray too! Maybe you weren’t around yet to witness those wanderings in the wilderness. If so, congratulations, you missed watching some really bad basketball.
Yep we were in the “wilderness” for years which makes what Sampson and his staff have done even more incredible.

I think Sampson will be turning the roster over completely before next season. This makes the most sense to me.
Yeah, we were pretty God Awful under Brooks, Drexler, McCallum, and Dickey.
We had a brief period of decentness under Penders.
But Samson has taken us back to the promised land!!!

What about that Penders weave? Yikes. I started watching during the McCallum days though and those were rough.
Pat Foster had HUGE shoes to fill and did a great job for UH as did Penders (hated him at Texas tho during our SWC days). Both took UH to the NCAA and NIT for most of their tenure. Penders won CUSA as well. Glad to have CKS at the helm. Bright days ahead.
