Texas is losing their top 4 scorer’s and 7 of their top 10 players plus a high ranked commit for 2024!!! It’s going to be interesting to see how their team shakes out for next year! Couldn’t of happened to a nicer team!!! LOL

Still trying to make Uzan a backup smh
Pesik basically uttered (at the end) that we could remove the last 3 spots on our roster cuz they don’t play regularly.
I didn’t feel like typing this earlier, but Pesik is seeing DJ as the PG that could put Uzan on the bench, where he really thinks his talent belongs. Will he admit that? Doubt it.
Not an argument. He just lives in his Imaginary World(IW) when there’s a TP that he likes cuz he can reconstruct the roster in his IW with little to no semblance of how CKS operates nor roster space. CKS clearly said last summer that the outside world always wants to bring in portal guys - I paraphrase - with no regard of understanding that (1)a player has to open up a spot before you can bring aboard a transfer and (2)if you bring in a transfer, you stand the risk of current players wanting out.
Not how CKS has built this culture, but Pesik has a new TP PG to type about in his IW. Plus, Dillon Mitchell and Hunter are out there now…so he’s really about to go watch film and report back.

Pesik is a fan like all of us. He is just posting his wishlist for a team that is on the doorstep of a national title. It’s not that serious. We don’t all have to agree with each other’s points, even if we don’t all get along.

This. J’Wan coming back and this staff’s BELIEF and TRUST in their development ensures that no post player is leaving to bring in another post player that initially shunned UH to begin with when current post players committed to this staff from the onset.

CKS has a track record now…Cedric Alley, Cam Tyson, Powell, Armbrester do not count…cuz now we’re The Joneses. The close loss to Tyler Herro and PJ Washington put UH bball back on the national map…IMO, along with bringing back home a former McDonald’s AA, Grimes.
IMO…the days of recruiting Lath/McFarland types are over as long as we continue signing our checks “THE JONESES”. Nothing disrespectful towards those two kids, but Jarace allowed us to go big game hunting going forward - Derik Queen, John Clark, Chris Cenac. To illustrate this further, we “needed” a 2024 HS PG to groom under Shead. Dedan left us at the altar cuz he was (SHHH!!) always gonna reclassify into the 2024 class. Fast forward and it becomes imperative to get a 2025 HS PG. CKS has ONLY offered two junior PGs…period(think about that for a second). And looking at his track record, he wants a PG who will be here for multiple years. Hence, Uzan can be here for his Sr. season while the true frosh PG is the understudy. And in a best cast scenario where Uzan is so good next year that he leaves for the NBA, CKS will bring in a TP PG to go along with Flemings(Acuff), cuz he will NOT trust a true frosh alone again. These are no longer the Galen II days.

Yeah, they will need at least 2 more portal adds to even be competitive, and then they need to be pieces that mesh well. They literally now have one guy over 6’6" and that’s Shedrick and he averaged 3 rebounds a game last season. Gonna get destroyed if they can’t rebound. Most of the SEC is rebuilding so maybe that bodes well but I struggle to see them as a tournament team at present
