How do you think Daspit Law Firm feels?
GTFO.
Sure letâs give him another few yearsâŠ.for all tens of the fans at the stadium.
If theyâve experienced an uptick in business, notwithstanding how the team has performed, probably pretty good.
But wasnât CTHâs approach unsustainable without year in and out recruiting? Wasnât he basically creating a huge amount of concussions even in practice? He also had a GREAT secondary and linebacking core. So he sold everything for one year.
Great answerâŠ.kudos to you.
Duke was already a top notch academic school and has been for decades. No argument on Miami.
Iâm not saying football isnât important, but to say the school is âembarrassedâ because of losing a football game against a favored opponent during Year 1 in a P5 league is going overboard and indicates a serious inferiority complex. Duke was a perennial doormat in football for years but I donât remember the school being a laughingstock over it.
Baylor losing to Texas State is embarrassing. Yesterdayâs game sucked but wasnât necessarily unexpected.

Fans point to coaches, and hell yes, they deserve much of blame, but the players showed little fight and heart on defense. No clear leader. The tackling is all them.
You could say that about Skladanyâs defense, too. They tackled like crap. And Skladany rightfully kept taking markdowns til he ended up at NTSU.
The coach owns the tackling
Duke has always been a top academic school, but prior to the late 1970âs, it was more like Rice than say, Stanford or Chicago like it is now.
In the late 1970âs, their B ball team had a great run, and went to a title game. Then Coach K came and it skyrocketed from there. Its attractiveness grew even more.
If Dr. Khator and Tilman keeps that clown CDH for 2024, this will erase any improvements UH made over that past 15 years since Khator joined.
All the improvements such as achieving Tier One and joining the Big 12 will be all for nothing and I donât want to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of UH if I see CDH on the sidelines in 2027.

Nah.

You have no idea what youâre talking about.
You act as though this is some one off lossâŠ.
Your take is as embarrassing as Dana.
No, Iâm just not a knee-jerk little whiner who never played a down of football in my life like some of you are.
I think Dana gets at least one more year, unfortunately. He doesnât deserve it, but itâs hard to see TF and Pez pulling the trigger given his bad contract. With that said, the money lost at the gate will be significant if Dana is retained. No different than the sparse crowds UH experienced under Helton, Dimel, Levine, and Applewhite when they failed as coaches.
I think Pez is banking on the B12 schedule for continued fan support. Sadly, I donât think the B12 opponents will be enough to sustain fan support if Dana continues to crap the bed. UH fans will see the writing on the wall, just as most see right now.
If changes arenât made, weâre heading back to the 1993-2002 (Helton/Dimel) years.
It takes time to rebuild a team, the longer we have Holgorsen, the longer it will take to rebuild this program.
If you think that the performance of the football team, or any athletic team or set thereof, is enough to embarrass the University as a whole (barring a major scandal), I encourage you to step back and re-evaluate your life priorities. Just a game, yâall. Very arguably the single least important thing the school does.

Not saying one event can set a university back but some schools havenât been the same.
-
SMU still hasnât recovered from the death penalty, they wandered in C-USA and AAC since.
-
Miami never got back to championship level since the Nevin Shapiro scandal.
-
Indiana basketball never got back to the Final Four after the text message issues with Kelvin Sampson and Sampson made it back before the Hoosiers did.
-
USC might have a chance to get back to championship level this year since the Reggie Bush payment scandal but there is a lot of football left.
SMU, Miami, USC, and Indiana are all fantastic schools. If a friend told me they or their child were considering a degree from any of them, I wouldnât advise them otherwise, and I wouldnât expect them to be ashamed of it. I donât care if the Coogs get blown out 100-0 in every sport for the next decade; nothing that happens on the field is going to turn UH into Liberty. To make me ashamed to be a UH alum, the AD would have to do something on the scale of Penn State/Baylor/UNC.
Realistically, itâs a fairly safe bet that UH isnât ever going to win a National Championship. There hasnât been a first-time champ since Florida did it in the 90s, and even Big 12 championships will likely be few and far between for us. It would take something close to divine intervention for us to even consistently contend for conference titles. In light of that, why stress about a silly little game?
USC got slammed because of Mike Garrettâs stupidity and arrogance. Oregon got caught buying players from Texas and they got a slap on the hand.

I think inaction is actually more damaging given a Big12 schedule. If we were in the American and losing like this, no one would care. However, in a P4 program that is not an academic powerhouse means that losing like this has to be dealt with because not taking action sends a message to recruits, students and season ticket holders that you canât or wonât do whatâs necessary to at least be competitive, We are moving fast in the wrong direction so something has to be done and watching the coach relax during post game interviews is more bad behavior. Start taking away his freedom, beginning with restricting his access to the press. Start making the coach uncomfortable
Depends if our leaders are just so happy we made âthe clubâ that are content with us being P5 Bottom Feeders.
As in the mix for one of the 5 worst Power 4/5 Programs.
