By 2100, very few of us will be here to notice.

It doesn’t matter to me if Texas is the largest state, I want it to be the best state.

If you want it to be the best state, we need our Government to focus more on the future needs and start putting that infrastructure in place.

Yes…everything we are doing today is copying California’s strategy from the 1980s.

Today…Califirnia has had to drastically adjust their strategy due to population issues and lack of infrastructure…so will Texas.

Pro growth policies are popular in the short term but damaging long term IF you don’t plan for the negatives associated with rapid growth

We have land, lots of land and the starry skies above but population growth is determined by water. Do we have the water?

I see Houston and Dallas being 3&4 or 2&3 but I don’t see Austin / San Antonio getting there because of the water problems.

I actually see the Great Lakes region making a comeback because of water.

It will be Hispanic, Asian, Gays, Trans and Blue not getting political. Just statistics.

I would not be so sure about that actually.

Based on current projections and political trends, I expect to see the following in the next 20 to 30 years:

  • Increasing economic growth in Latin America, especially Mexico, Brazil and Central America

  • Continued growth in Asia, especially Vietnam, Pakistan, Iran and India.

  • Drastic reduction in migration to the US from Asia and Latin America as a result of the above.

  • Increasing economic growth in large swaths of Africa, especially along the sub Saharan coasts (Nigeria, Ethiopia, South Africa, Ghana, Angola, Kenya etc.)

  • Increased migration from central and North Africa to the U.S. and Europe.

  • Shifts in domestic migration to the Great Lakes and Mountain West and away from FL, TX and CA.

  • European countries will see drastic declines in their populations due to lack of child birth and aging populations. As such they will need the immigrants from Africa and Middle East.
