If you’re gonna poach coordinators, grab the DC from a team with an offensive HC and an OC from a team with a defensive HC. Otherwise, you’re not hiring what you saw on the field. You’re only hiring for potential (which could work out).
Like all of the OC’s passing through the KC Chiefs org. Andy Reid runs the offense, so the OC’s passing through doesn’t impact their success.
Fritz leads our defense, so (theoretically) we shouldn’t see much of a dropoff on defense next year. If our offense was terrific and the OC got poached, then that would have been problematic.

I don’t like this one either… just because it calls to mind a racial / ethnic slur that’s created by putting “sand” in front of another slur, but maybe just me. Seems like maybe where this derived from. Again maybe just me.

I think the consensus here is probably that if you’ve learned and grown personally re: the one you used in the original title, then we’re all good.

Exactly my point. I was at NRG for that game against Sam Houston & saw first hand how Mack would fold under pressure. 3rd & short and 4th & short are his Kryptonite. He also costed the Bobcats the game against ASU late in the 4th quarter. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good coordinator for sure, but when the lights get too bright, he goes into Barbay mode
EXACTLY! That offense would drive Fritz up a wall. The nature of that scheme would often lead to TXST’s defense being on the field entirely too long. That’s how Sam Houston was able to beat them. Either they score really fast or it’s a 3 & out; not much in between. I dont see Fritz, being a run 1st, time of possession hoarding, coach wanting that sort of offense.

Yeah, for those of us of a certain age who heard our relatives use and/or ourselves used the original terms (“n-word” and “sand n-word”) it seems pretty clear where it originated.
