TDECU Stadium Renovations & Expansions

There’s no mention of “crimson” in our fight song or in the alma mater, both of which reference “red.”

You haven’t seen crimson used here because that’s OU’s color, not ours.

That confused me too but I think, based on his name, that he is referring to Utah.

You’re probably right.

Got glass going up and some framing around the outside. Also new endzone.

Any updated Shipley’s shot from across the street? Us OOT Coogs would like to see it with the glass.

i wish we could incorporate more plants/planters or greenery into/inside the Stadium…maintenance nightmare, but worth it if done correctly…#offtopic

Robertson might have been dump but it had more character.

I liked the hedges we had at Robertson, but aren’t an option at TDECU with the field level

Where were the hedges? I’m trying to remember? The end zones?

Yup. Endzones. I remember as a student, rushing the field against Tech, those bushes were like a stout offensive line.

Our stadium is so blah inside. It’s so gray. How can we spruce it up?

We used to sit front row, on the corner in the end zone, right next to where the team came out and I guess the bushes didn’t reach that far because when rushing the field, I don’t remember them being an obstacle. Lol

More people would be a good start. :slightly_smiling_face:

Man, the old video board was so small.

Very true, but isn’t that just the way with “dumps” that have stood the test of time. As a dino, I remember when Houston proper had “icehouses” that was the absolute place to be, anytime (after work was prime) and especially after a female was on your case. Nobody needed a shrink in those days!!

Stadium is fine. Need more butts in seats

The party deck might need a few Palm trees to get the feel.

Going to be fantastic when finished.
