Roberts replacement is already on the team. Shead production replacement will be through the portal, leadership will be passed down just like it was to him.

Shead has to improve on his shot if he wants to play in the NBA. His shooting percentage has been horrible recently…
Great leadership and guts are great but no one is picked in the draft for just those intangibles.
He has had a very difficult time driving the lane against bigger teams…and guess what the league has?
I love Shead and wouldn’t trade him for any other point guard but I don’t see him as a first rounder so maybe he sneaks in the second round?
It could be he goes overseas. We will just have to see how he does down the stretch.
I can’t believe they practiced Thursday? Maybe a light walk thru, they are banged up, tired from getting in late, good lord let them rest, they can practice Friday

With those guys all moving on (assumption based on all having senior day videos) that leaves 5 open spots for scholarship players. Two of those spots are already filled by incomers McCarty and Miller. I assume the other three will be picked up through the portal. Curious about who they will be and if CKS already knows.
Did they release a Jamal video? Maybe he’s coming back?
I believe it is 4 or 5 yrs now that we have lost 4 of our top 6 players. And we continue to have great teams. The one constant is Sampson and the other coaches. Really amazing.

Rebuild year next season especially in a tough conference like the Big 12. And a lot of unknowns in between. Lets win the chip this year.
Doubtful? More like probably. No way he doesn’t get a chance. He may not be picked in the first round but he will be drafted for sure
I guess we are both entitled to our opinions. In my mind his size, poor shooting are major hindrances moving into the league. Plus he has difficulty driving on bigger teams like Cincy, UCF and others.
That said, no one would be happier to see Mr. Shead clock in to the NBA.
Of course, the selfish part of me would love to see him return here next year on a team I think will have a legit chance to win a national title. Him and J’Wan would be huge for us next year.
But if we somehow overcome our bench losses and go far this year I would be happy too. Bottom line is Go Cougars.
And by the way I will be wearing my new Shead shirt tomorrow!
