Same song, second verse

Shouldn’t you have a question mark behind the question?

Lol It wasn’t a question!!! :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

In this game, I thought Alabama had the best athletes, in that all of their players were able to put the ball on the floor and take it to the hoop where they either had a layup or they dumped off to another player for a lay up. There scheme was pretty good, but required all their players to be able to put the ball on the floor land drive.

Lack of knowledge or general awareness.

Describes you to perfection.

What’s sad is you don’t even realize how ignorant you are….you try and pick on grammar to deflect from your obvious lack of understanding basketball.

Your first post, you know, the real doozy about coach spending all that time becoming football players….please forward it to Coach Sampson so he can get right on it….

Question for you big guy….if Coach Sampson or anyone on his staff read that glorious post of yours, what do you envision their response might be?

Don’t answer!!! I can tell you what it would be….it would be look at this post from xsmithcoog116!!! As they were all gathered around laughing they’re a$$es off.

What a tool.

I still don’t like Chaney and Roberts in at the same time. Losing Mark really hurt especially on defense.
Ramon did not have one of his better games and freshman Arceneaux looked tentative at best. And at some point Jarace Walker has to start shooting treys.

I pick on grammar because every one of your responses has to be flooded with ad hominem.

I never said ALL. That portion was more of me being snarky than literal. Please brush up on rhetoric.

Their response can be what they want it to be. Not going to change how I feel based on how they feel about something. His professional title does not make him beyond reproach or critique.

You put tobacco in your mouth, but only to look cool. :joy: Yea, I’m the tool.

Missed FTs under Sampson is the equivalent of penalties under Holgorsen.

If enough of them pile up, it can mean the difference between a win and a loss.

Games will come down to FTs later in the season and in the tournament.

Sampson said last week he doesn’t encourage bad shooters to keep shooting. He has a team full of poor shooters. With the 1 for 27 effort in the tournament last year I thought this would be a big focus area this season. Really no change.

Hey there friend. You still there? I think coach might be hinting at there may be room for improvement. You still feel like you can speak for him tough guy?

It’s morons like this who have never played the game that make comments like that……they don’t even realize how dumb they are so they double down on it….

The basketball program was on life support before CKS and staff showed up…. Our culture and toughness was about all they had those first couple of years…. Then coach starts getting the talent to match the culture and toughness and you get what we have seen the last few years….that is not something easily achieved.
Not a lot of the uber talented kids want to put in the work or buy in to Coach Sampson’s philosophy.

But I mean who needs any of that nonsense right?
Team is obviously busy practicing diving on the floor like a football player….lol

Cue the douche in 3….2….1….:joy:

Yeah, I’m with pollard on this one, and you should pay close attention to this because I’m not often ‘with’ pollard on too much. Haha…But yeah, one of the worst takes ever. Get a grip. You sound like a guy that watches a little too much 8U sports. Stop spending so much time coaching hustle in practice so we can devote some of that time to our free throw shooting? Are you freaking kidding me? I got a better one for you…if Sampson and his staff are devoting ANY significant amount of practice time to working on free throw shooting, they probably shouldn’t be coaches! What are they gonna do? Team drills at the stripe? First one to miss takes a lap while the rest egg him on? Next one to miss is a rotten egg? Last one to miss gets a prize? Puh-lease! Free-throw shooting work/practice should be done on a player’s own…maybe with an assistant coach in a severe case of the yips. And I don’t care how much you practice free throw shooting, it rarely, if ever, translates to in-game success. There’s just way too big of a difference between making free throws in an empty, quiet gym vs. trying to make them in front of thousands of screaming fans. So, you’re gonna need to go back to the drawing board on this one. And save the grammatical police brutality, too. No one’s interested.

Obviouly our culture has got us to where we are now as a program, but to be fair FTs did contribute signigicantly to all but 1 of our losses last year

For basketball players who are hurt or recovering from an injury, a lot them spend their practice time at the free-throw line to get back into basketball related movements unless it’s an arm or hand injury.

What’s amazing to me is that folks can get so bent about losing a game early in the regular season to a really good opponent. Let’s have a little perspective, shall we? Sampson always has his teams peak for the end of the season and this year will be no different.

Hopefully Mark won’t be on the bench late in coming games and Jarace Walker and TA continue to mature and assert themselves.
Normally our weakest link in ft shooting is our bigs although Roberts has improved

free throw shooting is what it is and trust its an issue for many of these teams that are ranked. Some guys knock em down in practice but struggle to make them in game situations. There really isnt much you can do about that. Its on the player at that point.

Oh man, I just started this to make myself feel better!

A lot of Sampson got outcoached and we recruit the wrong guys takes. I just wanted to point out if we go 18-22 from FT we win.

We went to-to-toe with a top ten team. Sky ain’t falling.
