UH vs UT will draw eyeballs like the OU game did.
UT doesn’t want to play us for the same reasons we have trouble scheduling more than the same few P5 opponents; we win, they lose prestige, but if they win, they were supposed to win.
Playing Rice is a guaranteed (almost) win for them, which is why they play Rice. No conspiracy, no hidden agendas.
There is no shame in losing to us now. Times are changing. Its even more true in basketball now. They need to play us now.
It seems rather odd to me that some folks on here seem to be the only ones that “need” UT to play UH.
I can’t help it. I was raised to want to beat UT and Aggie. I was a kid in the Dome in the 70s thus it’s engraved in my soul.
I don’t see the B12 “helping” UT in any way possible, there will be no special treatment. Let the beat downs begin!
If we end of having to play them here, I’m going to be incredibly irritated if we play at NRG instead of TDECUI
In 2023 there will be 13 possible opponents in The Big 12 Conference.
Obviously we cannot play them all.
Who will actually determine our Conference schedule?
If we play in Houston we should play at home, it is a conference game!
bruh
Did you burp?
We have handed UT some of their worse losses in school history. That said, I’m sure UT does not want to mark the end of their B12 affiliation with a loss to UH. Their time in the B12 has been less than stellar. UT fans will say good riddance, UH fans should say the same. Maybe we will meet again in a future Birmingham Bowl or Final Four, but it will be interesting to watch them in the SEC, this Coog fan will not be pulling for them.
Go COOGS!
No.
You’re kidding, right?
As much as I dislike Rice, I would love to see them beat UT. UT going 0-12 and being shutout in every game would be even better.
If UT can’t dominate the big12 as thought and with all the money already and top classes, there is something wrong with the culture there. Once there they are too entitled unlike any other school. There’s no us against the world or workman type attitude there. Ohio state does better. Bama does better. Something is wrong with the culture there. It can’t be just weed bc weed is everywhere.
Thanks SO MUCH for posting this Ron. I ate this up!
Thanks for posting. I graduated in 90 and got to see Andre up close. It was a great time for UH football.
We will travel there in droves. There will be noticeable red…a sea of red in the stands. The #1 and #3 biggest colleges in Texas playing each other for first time in almost a quarter century is a very big deal.
And if we keep building like we are, we will be top 15 or top 10 good.
