Prime to Colorado

Relevant decision-makers don’t call into radio shows unprompted to defend decisions they opposed. It doesn’t happen. If you have some sort of evidence that it does with any sort of regularity (more than, say, 1% of the time that team owners, GMs, etc. call in to defend decisions, I guess, if you need a specific threshold) then be my guest and share it, but unless you have that, the far more parsimonious explanation for why he was shouting from the rooftops that this was his decision and he wanted it is because…it was his decision and he wanted it.

No… that’s just your opinion and clearly you want that opinion so you can justify your anger towards Tillman. Because it’s just as likely he wanted to build hype for a new coach, and in fact given how big of a name Tillman is in Houston it’s far more likely that he would want to do something like that. I can only tell you what I know from my insider and my insider has told me he was not the main one wanting Applewhite so sorry if that shatters your world but I trust him over your opinion any day. And as another poster pointed out Kiffin was willing to accept the same contract.

From what I’ve heard Tilman didn’t want Major Renu did and some members of the BOR. Tilman wanted Kiffin. Tilman did hire Dana though

Off topic without creating a new thread - did we even try to recruit Seth Hennigan? My gosh that dude is smooth and from Denton.

Why do these coaches keep adding fuel to coach Primes fire? CU is going to show this video over and over again to their players the week of that game.

I thought coaches were supposed to complement their opponents, not try to embarrass them or degrade them.

I’m definitely watching that game.

This exactly, remember it was reported literally the day before Kiffin was getting the job then the next day it changed and Applewhite got the job, only Khator would have the power to make a last minute change like that.

A good friend told me this morning that TCU made an offer to primetime. He rejected the offer because TCU would not give him a percentage of every home game ticket sold. It’s my understanding Colorado included that in his contract.

He does receive a percentage from what I remember. So I seem that true.

Well here is the price of a winning program that everyone would want.

Would you pay that much to see your team play? Obviously, a lot of buff fans are paying it.

Not sure where they’re getting $517 from

Well they said average ticket price.

138 minimum for a 50k stadium yikes. Everyone except Colorado is stupid wow. On one game. He would have paid his contract on 1 game

Yes I know it’s city but don’t you think the city would’ve been more grateful

Probably be more inclined to help us later

Yeah that makes a lot more sense. I’m just so used to finding the cheapest option lol

And they’re only going to go up if they keep winning. Wonder what the season ticket holders will have to pay next year

Colorado’s stadium seats 50k.

Yeah I forgot to put plus because I didn’t want to look it up. Thank you

Even The Rock is showing up to CU games

We havent had students camp out for tickets since the Louisville game

I don’t understand the the wow look at how incredible Prime’s first home game was for Boulder for the Nebraska game ect. The last time Nebraska played Colorado in Boulder, 2019 they had 52,829 at the game, so the Prime effect is +412 attendance… It’s Nebraska - Colorado almost a stonecold lock sellout. Sure some ticket brokers probably got rich. The Prime effect will have to be seen as the season wears on and they take some lumps.
