Politics aside, gotta give it to KH

This is awesome.

Isn’t it slightly racist to say that your initiative to help Black Men is to legalize drugs?

Black men have been incarcerated more than any other race for recreational marijuana charges, for which many agree is an outdated punishment

I think this plan implies that black men deserve to capitalize off an industry that they’ve essentially been punished for, for so many years.

It’s not fair that white people get to capitalize on an industry, that largely targeted the black community, just because it’s now legal and that white people have more capital due to not being held back historically

To help black entrepreneurs, she could easily increase the the SBA guarantee percentage to 90-95% for African American small businesses, which would cause a flood of capital to AA small businesses.

Forgiving money is ridiculous.

Have to right the wrongs of the past somehow

SBA loans also have a lot of red tape

Not bad…Throwing stuff out like this…getting discussion going so folks can come to a consensus on what to do.

2 cents Gov’ment needs to stay out of crypto. (could be a whole thread on its own)

Government staying out of regulation is why the housing crisis happened in 08, where mortgages lenders and banks specifically targeted black communities for subprime mortgages

That said, I’m not even a fan of crypto.

More helicopter money, more populism (both her and Trump are populist as hell)

Imagine if Trump said… no tax on tips for caucasians… or if he said no taxes on social security for Hispanics/latinos?

I agree with @Coogcheese … govt stay out of Crypto.

White people never had to deal with legalized historical discrimination

I dont think many people truly understand how much historical systemic racism truly set back black people for generations

Considering African American slavery was the foundation of American capitalism, I think it’s time that they get back what’s owed to them in some capacity

Well, they did, but the Irish and Italian immigrants eventually were considered white, not ethnic, so they integrated eventually, while keeping a big part of their culture.

I’ll just drop this 15 minute Marlon Brando interview from 1968 here. It’s 15 minutes long, but kinda interesting what he says and where we are yet still today. FYI, I think this was before Brando became really
strange as he did later in life.

Kamala Harris wasn’t president. It so cute that she’s now the most powerful vice president in history if you listen to the right wing noise.

De-criminalizing recreational cannabis would release non-violent offenders from jail/prison, where they don’t belong in the first place.

Item 1 - Loan forgiveness seems to be the new rage since Covid.

Note the language “black entrepreneurs and others”. Doesn’t seem very exclusionary to me and opens the possibility that it could be for all people with some financial constraints.

Item 2 - Support education training seems to be a good idea but it would also have to be inclusive to all. Perhaps target the special training in low income areas combined with targeted marketing would be a better way to go.

Item 3 - Again, no. Not a fan of government involvement in crypto.

Item 4 - We do national health initiatives for many things…breast cancer for instance. Picking some that affect a lot of black men and putting money towards cures seems like a fine idea.

Item 5 - As stated by others…decriminalizing this should be done pronto. Not sure how you create opportunities in that industry and don’t think we should be investing as a country in it though. 1 for 2 ain’t bad.

Totally unconstitutional. It will never happen, just like the 10k for student loan forgiveness.
