Hard to get my Hopes up. Keep hearing we are front runner and nothing seems to happen.
I will be pleasantly surprised if it happens.
Gotta say, Iâm surprised theyâd even consider Atlanta again. Is there a serious reason they should get a team over QC or KC?
HockeyâŠmeh.
Go Kraken!
Iâm moving to Seattle in JanuaryâŠ
The Canes are good but that damn uniform is too ugly to root forâŠ
Iâve had NHL hockey for over 25 years in L.A. I enjoy going to the games from time to time, but itâs still about fifth in line for me, as I donât attend NFL games. If I have a team, itâs the Kings (for now). Didnât grow up with it, itâs hard to get excited about. Same for Futbol for me.
I was just a bit too young for the WHA Aeros, but I watched the Olympic Miracle on Ice in 1980, I loved the IHL/AHL Aeros (went to several games), and also enjoyed college hockey (Colorado College hockey and Air Force Academy Hockey when I lived in Colorado Springs; saw several games), and U of Alaska-Fairbanks when I lived there, and had a blast at the Washington Capitals game I saw in DC; I still have the Alex Ovechkin jersey that I bought at that game.
For now Iâm a Caps fan, but Iâll quickly become a Houston NHL fan when we get a team.
For me, the hierarchy is college football, college basketball, Texans football, Astros baseball, then Caps hockey, in that order.
Dynamo soccer and Rockets basketball are behind.
I had more fun at the NHL game I attended than I had at any Rockets game.
Grew up on the WHA Aeros saw many games. Always liked the Red Wings because of Gordie Howe connection. Also was a Flyers fan.
Would love to have Hockey back. Nothing beats playoff Hockey.
Indeed.
The NHL does have the best playoff.
Even a #8 seed, or an expansion franchise can, and has, won the title.
I canât think of another pro sports league where that is the case.
I will admit to having more fun watching the Kings vs Clippers V Rockets, unless the Rockets have a really good team.
sweet!
Should we get an NHL franchise, locations for minor league affiliates need to be established.
I suggest Katyâs Merrill Center for an AHL franchise, and Beaumontâs Ford Arena for an ECHL franchise.
Any suggestions?
There must be something to it
