Letâs be clear the nfl will never step in. They should step in. They should have a rule in place that colors and names belong to the city where the franchise originated or stayed at the longest. The only people in Tennessee that care about the Oilers are the adams family. Everyone else could care less. I have plenty of close friends in TN that made it clear to me.
Art Modell might have been a so so owner he left the Browns colors and name in Cleveland. Only despicable owners like the adams or spanos do this.
The Utah Jazz have nothing to do with Jazz. That is another questionable one.

The new Houston franchise wanted to use Oiler nickname and colors but NFL refused to push the issue and allowed Adams and family to screw us around when Cleveland was required to give new franchise to Browns name and colors. Super annoying. The old Oiler nickname and colors were great and everyone recognized them. The Texan nickname and colors are strictly second rate and boringâŠ

Seeing the Oilers play the Texans was as weird as hearing/seeing the Rockets play the Coogs⊠
Yes!⊠better the Texans wear them than the Coogs. But if the Texans canât, the Coogs do look so great in the colors that it is somewhat of a consolation.
Correct that Titans wearing them is much much worse than either of the above.

Yes,UH has improved the Merch revenue stream with the Blue uni ! Smu looks like they want to go Dallas Cowboy Homage uni. We will see what happens .

The Tennessee Titans have announced that they will not wear a Houston Oiler throwback uniform in 2025. They are debuting a new uniform in 2025, with âTitan Blueâ. Judging from the picture, there is not much difference in Oiler Blue and Titan Blue.

No, there is not much of a difference, but there is a difference and thatâs all that matters. All UH has to do is where the traditional Oiler Blue and the Titans/NFL cannot say anything because the Titans are not wearing that shade of blue. You canât keep an entire color. So if the fb team wants to wear them for a game, preferably against Rice, thatâs fine. Just keep them out of the FC.
