OT: Tennessee QB Holds Out for New NIL Deal

yes, straw man and now you’re doubling down Don Quixote

I think you’re confused

NIL makes College Football INFINITELY more interesting as more schools have a chance to build a strong squad and build one very quickly.

The BCS era was so lame…I never even watched…and I’'m a huge football fan.

Even the 4 team pre-NIL era was laughably stacked in the favor of a half dozen schools

…Alabama just stacked every position with 4-5 stars, 3 deep

Now, they are forced to share by the Capitalistic markets.

Nice Try!

You add strawman after strawman. You are bad at this.

yeah…I think you need to look up the definition

NIL = More Parity

Pre NIL= Less parity

I don’t know how much clearer I can make it for you

Your reading comprehension is poor.

not sure what condition you have but that was crystal clear to most people.

Boise State AND SMU just made the playoff

It is just that you can’t seem to read and comprehend well. You make arguments that have zero to do with my comment for some reason, adding strawman after strawman. I’m not sure if it is just odd or pitiful example of how our education system has failed you.

hey man, what ever you need to type to keep your gaslighting/name calling going on.

Go find another source of supply.

I know exactly what you typed

Basketball is different though.

Even Butler played for a natty recently.

NIL hasn’t created parity in football.

This year, the football natty was contested between two of the bluest blue bloods.

Three of the four semifinalists were blue bloods, and the fourth a member of the richest conference, as was the national champion.

The rich are simply getting richer as a result of NIL, and widening their gap with the have nots.

ALL Sweet Sixteen members in basketball were from the four richest conferences, with 15 of 16 from the three richest.

No parity from NIL. Only increased DISparity.

Arizona State, SMU & Boise State are NOT typically thought of regular postseason football participants…yet, they all played in the last playoff.

Houston, hadn’t made it to the NCAA Championship since 1984…they made it last year/.

Unless you are re-classifying the University of Houston as a “HAVE” now

As a member of the Power 3, with full shares starting this Fall, UH is now a have.

Not a blue blood, not a P2 sized brand, but definitely a have in the grand scheme of things. We have said we are all in on the $20 million revenue sharing plan.

Let me know when a non-have makes the Final Four in football, and maybe I’ll be more convinced.

SMU did NOT deserve a bid, and of course got trounced in the first round.

Bad example.

And while we hadn’t been in a Final since the 80s, we were a very recent Final Four and Elite Eight team that finished the regular season ranked #2.

Not exactly a surprise that we were in it until the end.

Not sure if they can check IP addresses when you signup for an account. Maybe if we started a conversation on whether it was a smart move to have SMU go to the ACC.

With all due respect, I disagree

Iamaleava threatened to sit out of the playoffs and apparently was trying to get multiple players to follow.

Good. Most of his posts sucked.

I would love to see a g5 team buy the best 99 players available and go to the cfp. But we have seen the same thing happen for decades. The so called blue bloods through mega donors bought the best players available. It is now legal. N.I.L. has replaced the under the table payment. They are not paid by the schools but by N.I.L. donors…Some things never change.

You can agree or disagree with Iamaleava’s actions related to NIL, but this was predictable and a symptom of a broken system.

It is clear that the NCAA has learned absolutely nothing during this process.
