What a waste of time this fight was
Boxing is dead
What a waste of time this fight was
Boxing is dead
I had zero interest in that.
Why would anyone watch a 58 year old fight a 27 year old that is a mediocre boxer at best? Especially with Tyson almost dying just a couple of months ago.
A sucker is born every minute.
I love boxing. This ain’t it.
Well - it wasn’t a true boxing match. So no, boxing isn’t dead. It was just some exhibition, sparring match.
And did people think that Tyson, at 58, was going to have the same legs he had at 28? C’mon now.
I have Nflx and even then I still decided to sail the high seas to watch it on the side.
Didn’t Paul get 40 million for this?
A sparring match shouldn’t grant someone 40 million effing dollars
A ton of people watched it. Someone was going to get paid.
People can dog the exhibition all they want but there was a lot of interest.
I wasn’t surprised at all how it went down. He’s 58. That said, there were more fights than just the one discussed and a couple were quite good.
I guess I’m lucky I didn’t watch it and waste my time and money.
I was watching the coogs at a local bar and on the other TV they had the Tyson fight. At the end of it I said the same thing, Boxing is dead. Its all about the hype. I am starting to think its going the way of wrestling as far as believability goes.
The fight was 100% rigged……if you watch closely in the first round…Mike could have absolutely put him away……he could have easily put together some combinations and gotten him outta there.
Paul paid for this win….
I have watched a ton of boxing over the years….ive only seen a couple of fights where I really felt like the fix was in….this had that feeling.
In a couple of clinches you could see Mike whispering in his ear as well.
And honestly before the fight I thought Mike was going to get knocked out just because of his age….and I guess I bought the hype a bit that Jake Paul was close to being a real boxer.
I was surprised when I saw how fit and ready Mike was in that first round….no doubt in my mind he could have won by round one KO.
Imagine if it was Tyson (58) vs Holyfield (62)
Why not let Tyson KO Paul? Promoters see more opportunities with Paul to “fight” other celebrities?
Of course lol
Just compare Mike’s sparring/training videos to the actual fight. Mike looked like a damn animal when he was training for the fight.
The actual fight he looks like he just left the bar
Exactly.
He did not throw one good combo.
He went out like someone that did not want to accidentally want to hurt the other guy.
How could some of you be surprised?
Paul would not last one round against a solid boxeur. He left himself open so many times that it was not a coincidence. Paul has beaten, allegedly stiffs.
