If someone is slowing down due to age you cannot have that person running your program. This is not a 9-5 job in season the work goes late into the nights for both head coach and assistants. And age can be a factor.
That said, not everyone slows down at the same age. Some do well onto their 70s.

I’m a Fritz fan. Been once since his SHSU days. I think he has a big work ethic, not like the last guy. You won’t hear him talking about work-life balance. That talk is for losers.

He is in great shape, looks to work out and ears right, regular sleep. I am 63 and have had a lifestyle change and look better than 10 years ago and feel better than 30 years ago. He’s good for a while!

His dream job been wanting this job rumor is for a long time. WF knows the great potential of this program. He is aware of our tradition and past winning ways. Was at Blinn JC and SHSU both right in our backyard.

In the upcoming Big 12, what would get you into the 12 spot playoffs? A 10-2 season? Obviously winning the championship, but I guess besides that it depends on the resume with the bar being 10 wins.

This year 10-2 would have been the bubble and OU the first out (only 10-2 team out). But with the conference changes, 11 of the top 12 are SEC or Big 10 next season. The question will be would the Big 12 championship loser at 10-3 get in over a 9-3 SEC/Big 10 team? I would guess not. We are probably a one bid league a lot of years.

I’m excited for the new change. It’s not exactly a sexy hire, but he’s probably the best available, somewhat proven candidate at this time. And he seems drastically different from Holgorsen which is prob what we need right now. At least we won’t be bitc@ing and moaning about he he’s one of Tillman’s homies who likes to frequent the bars all the time. Fritz should represent UH well.

As far as his Offense goes , I haven’t watched Tulane much. Hopefully whoever he brings in will draw up an exciting game plan
