1. #17 Kansas State @ Houston - Houston has won every game when Zeon plays the entire game. Can a healthy Zeon and Houston pull off the upset?
2. #9 BYU @ Utah - The biggest week of the Big 12 season ends with a late night ESPN Holy War. Can a full house in Salt Lake be enough to upset an undefeated BYU? Utah, the projected pre-season champion, has been the laughing stock of the Big 12. This is their chance to shut the haters up.
3. Texas Tech @ #11 Iowa State - Can Texas Tech be the team that finally ends Iowa State’s undefeated season? Texas Tech will fall to 3-3 if they lose, with Colorado the only remaining tough team on the schedule.
4. The fight to 4 wins - TCU & Texas Tech are fighting for that 4th win to move up the ladder. WVU & Cincinnati, the other 2 teams fighting for 4 wins will face off the following week after this week’s bye.
5. Baylor & Houston looking for win #3 - Baylor battles a struggling TCU team to move up that ladder. Houston faces a tough Kansas State. Will Baylor and/or Houston move up, or will they both get knocked down once more?
6. Will Oklahoma State win a game? - The winless Cowboys face off against a beatable Arizona State. Will Oklahoma State defy the odds, or will the projected preseason runner up continue their state of despair?
BYU @ Utah game is most likely a massacre. Utah has no QB. BYU should handle them.
Tech is no bueno. Never was sold on them. ISU should take care of them.
Our game - I hope will be a boring one. We don’t want to get into a shootout type of game. That’s not who we are. I want a 13-10 win. Keep it boring, but win baby.
Okie lite - don’t know what to expect from them. Same for Az St.
Perhaps the Baylor-TCU will be the only good one. I can see that being a shootout type of game.
k state - coogs will not be close, k state will roll the coogs.
they are very underrated and their loss at byu included a horrific span for them of about 3 minutes where they gave up 14 points or so off turnovers, would not be suprised to see k-state in the conference championship game.
I definitely lean towards a KState blowout but the one thing I will say is they haven’t looked great on the road. Almost lost to Tulane, got smoked by BYU, should’ve lost to Colorado, and then they did stomp WVU. So you never know maybe the home crowd can give us a little boost.
From a marketing perspective, I have to think Yormark is pissed. Too many teams that were supposed to be national high quality teams that could be marketed have absolutely crapped the bed.
BYU is a nice surprise but I’m not sure they are as strong as pre-season Utah was supposed to be.
Bad timing for the Big 12 to have a down year. Then again the SEC and BIG are having down years too but you wouldn’t know that watching ESPN.
Good point, KFD. The SEC doesn’t have an overwhelmingly great team, and neither does the Big 10. Texas and Georgia are really good, but I don’t think any Big 10 team is equal to them. I still think Penn State is overrated, and Ohio State has question marks. Alabama is flawed. But if you listen to the media those two conferences are all there is.
I should give kudos to Indiana, but we’ll see how they do against a really good team.
