New Texans Uniforms

My wife has been waiting for the new jerseys so she can get a Tank Dell one. She’s pissed. Now I’m mad at the Texans because I have to live with that.

Oh…I don’t like the red helmets.

Probably because the ones that would sell the most are the stroud and diggs jerseys

I was waiting for this reveal with the purpose of buying an official Dell jersey, but as you said, non available?!?!?!?!?!?

They have Pierce and Pitre jerseys available but no Dell? Hmm.

Overall I like them, but the basic home and road unis are not drastically different from the old ones. I love the all reds and the alternate red helmet; it’s better than the standard helmet. The H-Town uni is growing on me (except the red numerals are a bit jarring). I’d like a cap with the new H. As a fan, though, I don’t really care what they wear as long as they continue the current upward winning trend.

I’ve heard they are going to gradually roll out jerseys for all the players, so I’m sure Tank will be in there soon.

What exactly are the McNairs gonna do about a sporting goods retailer operated by individual store managers choosing to stock merchandise in a way that isn’t to their liking? By all accounts, they actively tried to incorporate more light blue into their uniform, but the owner of the franchise formerly known as the Oilers has a reputation for being litigious and a costly legal battle isn’t in anyone’s best interest.

The implication that the conflict over Columbia Blue (and the Oilers’ likeness more broadly) is fake implies that the NFL, Titans, and Texans all agree that either this alternate jersey is more profitable than a Columbia Blue one or that the marginal revenue from the Columbia Blue jersey would be less than the marginal revenue lost on Oilers jerseys in its wake. I don’t think either of those is true.

Given the near-constant smoke over the last decade about the Texans trying to get the rights to use Columbia Blue, it’s increasingly apparent that there’s some real, active conflict over it.

They are almost identical to the uniforms they’ve worn since 2002. Only one is different. I was expecting something a little more interesting. But they’re ok.

Saw this online, I assume it’s correct. If it is, I hope the Texans organization didn’t spend more than $15 on the “creative team” that made this happen.

I figure $15 is about right for the one hour of time it took an entry level staffer to change the font and swap trim colors around the numbers.

They went with a very safe "revision: to the existing uniforms.

The completely PUNKED OUT on using the Columbia Blue/ Red Oilers color scheme…UH did not!

Ugly an understatement.

I like them just not the ones that look like the atlanta falcons i.e top two on the right

Sad thing is it probably cost well over $100,000.

Also keep in mind any uniform designs are submitted to the NFL for approval. The Texans wanted more H-town blue but they had to compromise, per Cal. Amy Adams Skunk also couldn’t allow it.

Negative Nancies on this board. Lol
They have been universally praised by the vast majority. I personally think all but one rock. The white is okay but the rest are outstanding.
Congratulations to the Texans who have done a complete 180 in 2 years in all aspects of their franchise.

Lets be honest this is a cocktease to having the entire uniform “Houston Blue”

Why couldn’t the Texans have used H-Town blue as much as they wanted. Cal should have grown a pair and ditched the navy blue and make H Town Blue and Red both the primary colors. How do the Titans have a say on Houston’s colors??

Have we ever use H on our helmets before. If we haven’t, the we won’t ever. The Texans are going to trademark it. Like the way the simple H looks, it’s uncluttered and fresh, BIG lite.
