New Beatles Song

The song will be released on November 2.

To the younger generation, it will probably be a nothing burger, but for those who lived during the Beatle era, it’ll be a blast to the past.

Be interesting as to how the very last “collaboration” plays out. After hearing snippets of
it in that video, I think it will only appeal to the nostalgia crowd.

On a related note, I was thinking again about how the creative juices seem to dry up for
artists and scientists as the decades go by. Sir Paul was a very creative songwriter through his
thirties , but the last 20 (?) albums he has put out are not great works imho. Likewise, Newton and
Einstein had their best work in first 2-3 decades of life.

Thanks for posting.

Its OK, but I am not a die hard Beatles fan.

Yea, it’s got too much orchestra in it. Wished they went with a more traditional sound, buts its still awesome to hear a new Beatles song!

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. In my constant contact with HS-age students, the Beatles are very much alive.

To my ears, a few of the songs by the individual post-Beatles boys were truly good. Most were meh if not outright ghastly. In contrast, a few of the Beatles’ songs were throw-aways.

It was cool to listen to a new song by them but it wasn’t exactly what they should have gone out on. Very subpar considering what they were doing on their last albums.

New Beatles song?

Rolling Stones new album?

I thought we just went back 1 hour?

LOL!

Yeah, I like “Vanilla Sky” by Paul McCartney.

Beatles back with number 1 single in UK.

Me too. I think they’ll be considered right there with Beethoven and Mozart in the future.
