My Alabama takeaways

Oats is a massive clown

It’s November. People coming out of those two losses with anything other than respect for 3 of the best teams in the country can take a lap.

No critiques at all?

Kelvin said postgame, we have alot of guys who can play better.

Besides Cryer, not many guys played great tonight. And we still could’ve won.

I liked Arcenauxs minutes tonight. I just want us to stay healthy.

Rest Francis honestly, til his groin injury is fully healed

Stating the obvious isn’t a critique imo.

We gonna need uzan and sharp at the end of every game can’t afford to put everything on cryer

Is it me or is TA the only one that looks to push the ball after making a defensive play?

Mylik does it, and I think Miller will too. The rest of the guys seem to still want to play Shead’s pace.

Mercy probably the best at it

Okay. Guess I need to pay more attention. I did miss part of 2nd half putting kids down for bed.

We are not a dominant rebounding team.

The offense will more or less jell over the course of the season.

Lost an OT game to a really good team. Sometimes I think we don’t deserve Sampson the way some talk about him. I’ll take whatever shortcomings might occur in the half court on offense on occasion. Would not trade Sampson for ANYONE including that turd with the titles, Hurley.

LJ was AWESOME against BAMA. That was a game we needed to see from him and should answer any questions about whether we can win it all this year. He’s an All American, and we got him good looks, which he made enough of to give us a chance to win.

I would love to know how many times we threw the ball down to Roberts after he got hit in the eye. I feel like we need to feed him more even if he’s going against size because he’s such a good passer and we might get good looks from 3 from his low post work.

I think the points of turnovers stat is very misleading in this game. The boxscore says 18 point of 12 Bama turnovers, but I can’t remember any fast breaks off of their mistakes. We could stand to get some easier buckets.

Commonality in the Bama and Auburn game: we collectively did not take care of the ball. We struggle against ball pressure so far this year.

Both teams over played the 3 point line against us. Those shots get us offensive rebound opportunities. Right now, we are not enough of a threat to finish at the rim for teams to respect the possibility of a kickout pass.

I’m fine taking some L’s getting Mercy ready for March. He definitely gets lost on defense.

Tugler is our best shot blocker since??? Tim Moore??? Bo Outlaw???

Let’s beat the Irish today!

You have no business commenting on this board ever again. We have won plenty of big games over the last 10 years. It’s November. Get over yourself. We do not lose these games in March. We have lacked defensive intensity in these two losses, period end of story. We rarely lose games scoring 69-plus. Go back and look at the numbers. This is a higher-scoring team as well. Once the defense returns, we’ll be golden.

I did that 3 weeks ago. $100 bucks to win it all at 16 to 1.

We play Notre Dame tomorrow

Why do people keep saying we got tired? We rotated more guys than they did, and they have a quicker pace of play.

If Bama wasn’t tired, we shouldn’t have been.

One of the Alabama players said that after the game. It wasn’t from me. Maybe they just used that as motivation? 1-12 is telling though.

Lj might have been tired. He either is on or off, sometimes a whole game sometimes splitting. Ive never seen a streakier shooter. I sure appreciate his effort.

Mercy would not have gotten in the game if not for the refs. If Uzan and Sharp are not in foul trouble you would not see Wilson or Mercy.
